Glastonbury fans are convinced that news of this year’s lineup could be just hours away, following a string of rumours about who will be headlining the famous Pyramid Stage this summer.
Following a huge rush to get tickets back in November, festival-goers have been eagerly awaiting news of who will be performing at Worthy Farm in June.
Names such as Olivia Rodrigo, Sam Fender, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, and The 1975 have all been mentioned as potential headliners.
However a rumour has now been circulated online that the official lineup poster will be unveiled on Thursday (March 6) at 8am.
One fan posted on X: ‘Glastonbury line-up rumoured to be coming out 8am tomorrow morning I am NOT gonna get any sleep tonight.’
Fake posters, featuring the same date and time, as well as a BBC watermark, have also been circulated on Reddit, but fans were quick to notice they were filled with spelling errors.

One user, claiming to have inside knowledge, addressed the rumours, writing: ‘Nothing confirmed but I’ve been told by someone who is likely to know, so I’d be surprised if they’re wrong.’
While the full lineup for Glastonbury 2025 is yet to be announced, it was previously confirmed that Neil Young will headline one evening, while Sir Rod Stewart is set to perform in the famous ‘legends’ slot on the Sunday.
The iconic festival will take place at Worthy Farm in Somerset from June 25 to 29.
In January, Neil confirmed that he would be headlining at Glastonbury Festival, despite previously making a shock U-turn, claiming it was ‘under corporate control’ of the BBC.
Young issued a bombshell statement on New Year’s Day accusing the festival of being controlled by the BBC, appearing to dash fans’ hopes.
However, a statement posted on Neil Young’s website later said: ‘Due to an error in the information received, I had decided to not play the Glastonbury Festival, which I always have loved.
‘Happily, the festival is now back on our itinerary and we look forward to playing. Hope to see you there.’
Young had previously said in an open letter on the Neil Young Archives this week: ‘The Chrome Hearts and I were looking forward to playing Glastonbury, one of my all time favorite outdoor gigs.

‘We were told the BBC was now a partner in Glastonbury and wanted us to do a lot of things in a way that we were not interested in. It seems Glastonbury is now under corporate control and is not the way I remember it being.
‘We will not be playing Glastonbury on this tour because it is a corporate turn-off, and not for me like it used to be. Hope to see you at one of the other venues on the tour.’
Sir Rod, 79, will play the famous Sunday teatime ‘Legends’ slot, following in the footsteps of Shania Twain in 2024.
Nile Rogers and Chic are also set to appear after he accidentally revealed the top-secret booking at an awards bash.
Over the weekend, The Mail On Sunday also revealed that event insiders say they have pulled off a ‘coup’ by signing pop-rock band The 1975, and Disney star turned pop-punk singer Olivia Rodrigo.

Both are set to perform on the festival’s main Pyramid Stage, with The 1975, fronted by 35-year-old Matty Healy, likely to appear on the Friday night and Ms Rodrigo, 22, on the Sunday night.
A Glastonbury source suggested there may still be another surprise appearance from a ‘major, major band’ to be announced, but said this would not impact the main stage headliners.
‘Everyone is pretty pleased with this year’s line-up now,’ the source said.
‘At one stage, with Neil Young and Rod Stewart’s names already out there, some people were concerned that this year’s festival was going to be defined as the year of the wrinkly rockers.
‘Both The 1975 and Olivia Rodrigo are mᴀssive names who appeal to a much younger audience, so the hope is that Glastonbury will appeal to the youngsters this year as well as those who might want to see Neil or Rod.’
