The cop who arrested Justin Timberlake under suspicion of DUI has gotten a top prize from his Hamptons police department.
Timberlake’s arrest occurred shortly after midnight on June 18, 2024 when he was pulled over after leaving the American H๏τel in Sag Harbor.
Michael Arkinson, the rookie who stopped Timberlake, was said to be ‘so young’ that he failed to even recognize the pop star, according to a Page Six source.
‘Justin said under his breath: “This is going to ruin the tour.” The cop replied: “What tour?” Justin said: “The world tour,”‘ another insider ᴀsserted.
Ultimately, Timberlake pled guilty to a reduced violation charge of driving with ability impaired, so he will not have a criminal record.
Now the Sag Harbor Village Police Department has awarded Arkinson the honor of officer of the year in a ceremony held January 31, TMZ reported.

Timberlake’s world tour has been buffeted by drama, with sluggish ticket sales, disdainful reviews and multiple dates canceled because of illness or injury.
Last week, the final concert of the U.S. leg had to be scrapped less than an hour before showtime because Timberlake had the flu, to the fury of ticketholders.
The scuttled performance was the last indignity of a trainwreck tour that had been tarnished by the scandal around Timberlake’s arrest.
Arkinson was 23 years old and had reportedly only been with the Sag Harbor Police Department for three months when he apprehended Timberlake.
DailyMail.com reported that in his short time on the force, he was already so well-known for pulling people over that well-heeled Hamptons locals had taken to calling him such names as the ‘Sag Harbor Nazi’ and a ‘little red-headed dips***.’
However another Hamptons insider said that before Timberlake’s arrest, Arkinson successfully used Narcan to save a local’s life from an overdose, via Page Six.

Police pulled Timberlake over last June after they allegedly saw him running a red light and swerving across a road in the small hours of the morning.
Per the police report, the cops observed that Timberlake was ‘glᴀssy-eyed’ and smelt of alcohol, adding that he refused a breathalyzer test.
His attorney insisted that Timberlake was not drunk when he was arrested, and the Cry Me A River hitmaker ultimately took a plea bargain, copping to a reduced violation charge of driving with ability impaired.
Timberlake agreed to pay the maximum fine of $500 plus a $260 surcharge, with DailyMail.com revealing an important element of the deal was his willingness to star in a public service video for Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
