Mick Jagger made a surprise appearance at the 97th Annual Academy Awards – and left fans shocked that he is just one year younger than Joe Biden.
The lead vocalist for the Rolling Stones, 81, took to the stage during the glitzy event to present the award for Best Original Song – which went to the film Emilia Perez for El Mal.
The British-born performer energetically strutted onto the stage while blowing kisses towards the star-studded crowd – who erupted into a standing ovation as he took his place in front of the microphone.
Social media users quickly took to X to share their thoughts on Jagger’s youthful appearance and energy after he presented the honor.

After he stepped out onto the stage during the Academy Awards on Sunday, Mick presented the award for Best Original Song.
After the applause and cheers from the crowd died down, he expressed: ‘My goodness. I’m greatly honored to be invited to give this award for the best original song tonight.
‘And as much as I love doing it, I wasn’t the first choice to give this award out,’ the singer continued. ‘The producers really wanted Bob Dylan to do this.’

Jagger previously opened up about aging during an interview with The Guardian back in 2023.
‘But I hate to say this: as you get older, a lot of your friends die,’ he told the outlet, and added that ‘it doesn’t get easier at all.
‘There’s a lot of people around your age, they’re dying all the time. I don’t have any friends older than me, only one. Apart from the band, all my friends are much younger.’
Jagger continued, ‘You’re aware of your own mortality from quite an early age – it’s not something that occurs to you in your 70s.’
Also on Sunday, Mick was spotted at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscars Party in Beverly Hills and was accompanied by his girlfriend Melanie Hamrick, 37.

She slipped into a pair of black, closed-toed heels and allowed her dark locks to flow down past her shoulders in elegant curls.
