Mark Labbett shocked the audience when he slapped a wrestling contestant during the New Generation Wrestling’s Ultimate Showdown event on Friday. 

The Chase star, 59, who is most known as ITV’s The Beast, bounced into the ring as an announcer for the Hull City Hall event. 

The sporting match saw Rampage Brown and Myles Kayman lock horns in a one-on-one fight. 

But the evening soon took and unexpected turn when he struck his palm across Kayman’s face. 

Riling the fighter on for his big fight, Mark branded him ‘shortie’ which caused the wrestler to lash out and push him. 

Since, a clip of the acclamation has gone viral as viewers cannot believe the outburst in the ring.

And the move was brave by Kayman as Mark isn’t just a guest star as he has many connections to the wrestling world. 

Mark is the executive producer of NGW, a family-friendly wrestling promotion proudly based in Kingston Upon Hull.

And he has undergone quite the transformation in recent months as he looks worlds away from his earlier appearances on the hit game show.

Taking to Instagram earlier this month, Mark looked stylish in a classic white ʙuттon up shirt and tie, showcasing his slimmer physique. 

Standing at 6ft 6, his thinner frame was clearly visible as he shared pH๏τos of his incredible transformation.

It comes after Mark appeared on Good Morning Britain, where the Chase star denied undergoing weight loss surgery after shedding 10 stone.

The quiz champion admitted he lost his appeтιтe after having Covid, and now struggles to finish a meal.

Host Susanna Reid asked: ‘ How did you do it?’ to which he quickly replied: ‘Not with a gastric band. I’m not too sure how.

‘I weighed myself the other day and I was just under 19 stone and at my heaviest, I was just a shade under 185 kilos – 29 stone.

‘Essentially I’ve been carrying a sack of coal on my back all these years.’

The star previously revealed to The Sun that while he was tempted to go under the knife he instead decided to get fit and healthy the old fashioned way.

He also revealed how he shed the pounds, saying he’s been ‘eating less and drinking more’ and focusing on his health.

Mark said he completely changed his diet due to battling diabetes and said that played a part of his weight loss.
