Julia Roberts appeared to step back in time as she recreated her iconic Golden Globes look from 1990 on Friday. 

The Notting Hill actress, 57, cut a stylish display as she received the insignia of Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters from the Minister of Culture Rachida Dati in Paris.

The star beamed in snaps as she wowed in a light grey suit jacket and matching cropped tailored trousers. 

Completing the look with a pair of matching grey heels, Julia bore a striking resemblance to her 22-year-old self when she attended the Golden Globes in an Armani suit and tie. 

Speaking about the outfit in an interview with Vogue in 2024 she said: ‘This was one of my all-time favourite outfits.

‘I did my hair, my girlfriend did my make-up… I don’t even know that people wore really fancy gowns to the Golden Globes then the way they do now, but I thought that I was very extra in this outfit.

‘I could not have known that it was going to become this, like, statement outfit. I just thought I looked fabulous, and I still have that suit.’

The Order of Arts and Letters (Ordre des Arts et des Lettres) is a prestigious French honor recognising individuals who have made significant contributions to the arts and culture. 

Grinning from ear to ear, Julia wore her brunette locks in soft curls before accessorising the look with stylish brown shades.  

Julia joins an impressive alumni of previous recipients including Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, David Bowie, Elton John and Giorgio Armani.

It comes after Julia delivered a spicy comment to criminals who were preying on the vulnerable during the LA fires last month.

Taking to Instagram, she penned: ‘F.U. looters,’ as she hit back at looters who have been targeting empty mansions in the $10M range that have been left unsupervised as families evacuate. 

In many areas the fire alarms are off because the power is out. And police are not accessing the areas easily due to fire hazards. 

Most of Julia’s post was about the devastation over the Palisades fires. ‘There is so much healing and help needed. We will get through this,’ wrote the Oscar-winning star.

She then plugged a talent agency that is reaching out with money. 

‘@caafoundation alongside @coreresponse @eifoundation @lausd are launching SoCal Fire Fund to ᴀssist in providing Immediate and Long Term support for all those impacted by these current fires.’

Julia is known to have owned a home in Malibu.

She then moved to San Francisco but sold her home. She has since been seen in the Bay Area, but it is not clear where she resides.
