Coronation Street has unveiled a dramatic new trailer with David Platt and Rob Donovan at the centre of the action.
In an upcoming episode of the ITV show, cobbles favourite David (played by Jack P. Shepherd) will be left fighting for his life after a hitman mows him down on the street.
The hairdresser has become embroiled with gangsters after stealing thousands from drug lord Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) last year.
Gunning for revenge, Harvey demanded the money back, threatening David’s son, who is now in the same prison as him, in the process.
In a desperate move, David turned to working a variety of illegal and dangerous jobs in order to pay the drug lord off.
However, next week he will be pushed to the brink as he makes the dramatic decision to take his own life, by hiring a hitman to mow him down.
