Joshua Jackson’s ex Jodie Turner-Smith sparked romance rumors with hunky musician Moses Sumney on Thursday, during a cozy red carpet appearance.

The actress, 38, was joined by Emily Ratajkowski’s handsome pal, 32, at the 18th annual ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards in Los Angeles.

The duo put on a cozy display, with Moses leaning down to kiss Jodie’s cheek at one point.

The indie singer-songwriter was also seen in a close pose with her, his hands resting on her arms. 

Moses was previously seen spending time with model Emily, 33, last January.

Meanwhile Jodie previously declared that she is ‘over men’ last October, a year after she split from her husband Joshua Jackson, 46. 

The Star Wars: The Acolyte actress also recently accused Joshua of not paying child support for their four-year-old daughter Juno.

While at the event, Jodie showed off her effortlessly cool style in a black leather jacket and mini skirt. Underneath she wore a white tank top and black тιԍнтs.

She paired the outfit with knee-high black boots, and held a suede bag in her hand.

Meanwhile Moses matched her in a leather jacket and pants of his own, which he teamed with a belt featuring a large silver buckle.

Sumney is an American singer-songwriter known for his unique blend of musical genres. He gained attention with his early EPs and his critically acclaimed albums Aromanticism (2017) and Græ (2020).

He has also branched out into acting, appearing in projects like HBO’s The Idol.

Earlier this month it was revealed that Jodie has reportedly accused ex Joshua of attempting to gain sole legal custody of their daughter Juno in the wake of their split.

Turner-Smith filed for divorce from Jackson back in October 2023 and now details about their ongoing custody battle have emerged.

A declaration filed by the actress’ lawyer, Laura Wᴀsser, obtained by DailyMail.com, states she has claimed that her estranged husband refused her custody time with their child while she was filming in London last year.

It comes less than two months after it was reported that Turner-Smith alleged that the Dawson’s Creek alum still hadn’t paid her a dime in child/spousal support.

The British-born, American-educated performer and her $900 per hour attorney Wᴀsser filed new legal documents on December 23 asking the judge to order the Canadian actor to start cutting her monthly checks.

According to TMZ, The Agency actress claimed that Jackson was ‘reneging on the promise’ that she ‘would not have to worry about financial security for our daughter if we ever separated’ because ‘he understood how difficult life can be as a Black woman and a single mother.’

At the time, Turner-Smith reportedly wanted Jackson to pay her $8,543 per month in child support, $28,641 per month in spousal support, as well as $250,000 in attorney fees and forensic accounting costs.

Last year Jodie said that despite the end of her marriage, she currently isn’t dating anyone, and is no rush to find love again.

But posing for a stunning GLAMOUR shoot, she told the publication: ‘I’m actually not dating, I’m over men.’

At the time, Joshua was romantically linked with actress Lupita Nyong’o. 

But the Queen and Slim actress insisted she didn’t have an opinion on what her ex-husband is doing now, as long as any partners are ‘good’ to her and their daughter.’

She said: ‘He can do whatever he wants.’

A year after their split, Jodie also told the magazine that she and her former partner are still trying to navigate the best way to raise their daughter.

She said: ‘It’s an adjustment period for anyone when they split up with someone, because you’re used to being with your child all the time.

‘But nobody hands you a manual. Everyone’s trying to figure it out.’

She continued: ‘Each parent has a different life, and especially if the reason why you’re splitting up is because you have different lives, it’s only further complicated by how you’re going to coparent.’

Jodie cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ in her divorce filings as she made a bid to remove herself from the ‘unhealthy’ marriage.

Weeks after Turner-Smith officially filed for divorce, Jackson was pH๏τographed holding hands with actress Lupita Nyong’o, hours after it was confirmed they were dating.

However, in an October 2024 interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK, Nyong’o confirmed that she had split from Jackson.

Moses was previously seen spending time with model Emily, 33, last January; the two pictured on vacation  

Meanwhile last year Moses was spotted spending time with Ratajkowski.

In January, they were spotted returning to New York City from their tropical getaway to ring in the New Year.

After the pair celebrated in the Grand Cayman Islands, the model appeared to be in high spirits as she headed to the airport and returned home with the singer.
