Taylor Lautner had a message for those bodyshaming Selena Gomez following her slimmed down appearance at the SAG Awards.  

The Twilight star, 33, put trolls scrutinizing Gomez’s body on blast on his Instagram Stories on Wednesday. 

Gomez appeared noticeably slimmer at the SAG Awards this past weekend, which led to speculation she may be using Ozempic or a weight loss aid. 

But Lautner lost his patience with the bodyshaming on Wednesday, and hit back at the trolls with a powerful message that urged netizens to ‘be a little nicer.’ 

Lautner re-shared a post featuring two pH๏τos of Gomez, 32 – one of her at this year’s SAG Awards and another of her at the show last year, along with various comments critical of her appearance. 

No matter how she looked, the remarks were cruel.  

‘It’s a cruel world full of hate out there. You can never please everyone nor should you have to,’ Lautner wrote. ‘In my experience, it doesn’t make the words sting less, it just refocuses you onto what matters.

On Sunday’s SAG Awards, some social media users were quick to notice that the Emilia Perez actress was noticeably more slender, with some speculating that she may be using Ozempic or a weight loss aid.

Within moments of her arrival, her fans flocked to X to react to her beauty and how she looks like she is ‘living up to her fullest potential.’

‘Selena always knows how to shine at these events,’ one gushed.

Another wrote: ‘Wowwww….She is looking her absolute best these days.’

Some X users, however, speculated that she may be using ‘Ozempic’ or a weight loss.

One social media user even marveled that Gomez ‘looks different every time’ they see her.

The actress has been candid that her lupus medication alongside an intestinal illness called SIBO is responsible for her weight fluctuations.

Last year, Selena opened up about how she used to cry her ‘eyes out’ over body shaming comments but is now ‘proud’ of who she is.

‘I’m not perfect but I am proud to be who I am… sometimes I forget it’s okay to be me,’ she wrote on Instagram.

Her appearance at The SAG Awards comes just a few weeks after she announced her engagement to producer Benny Blanco.

Blanco seemingly popped the question during a romantic nighttime picnic featuring Taco Bell.

Gomez has been dating Blanco since June 2023, though she did not confirm the relationship until that December.

Taylor had a brief romance with Gomez back in 2009. 

The actor has now been married to Taylor Dome since 2022.
