Television star Jason Kennedy has asked for prayers for his two-year-old son Ryver who has been battling a mystery infection in the pediatric Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The 43-year-old former E! News star shares the toddler with wife Lauren Scruggs Kennedy. They also have a little girl named Poppy Nord, 16-months.
On Wednesday, Jason took to Instagram to share a pH๏τos of himself sitting in a hospital bed with his toddler — who is undergoing care — on his lap.
While the youngster was facing away, he appeared to have a oxygen tube on his face and beside him for consistent airflow during his second day under medical watch.
The TV star also revealed their son’s condition has been mystery and has left even medical professionals stumped.
‘If you could say a prayer for our boy Ryver it would mean a lot. Day 2 in pediatric intensive care, the infection is leaving doctors perplexed and we are hopeful for more answers today. Gutting to see him in this kind of pain,’ Jason captioned the snap.

Just days prior, Jason shared a silly video of him teasing Ryver for taking ‘forever’ to use the restroom, which the former quipped was a nightly occurrence in his home.

They jointly announced they had welcomed their second child via Instagram in October 2023, excited to share that hey had become a party-of-four.
‘I’m sure your feed could use some good news today — we wanted to share that our angel, Poppy Ford Kennedy, arrived on 10•10 and she’s giving all of you a big hug right now,’ they penned in the caption.

Prior to welcoming their first child in April 2022, the stars reportedly went through years of fertility struggles and even went on an IVF journey to conceive.

‘Trying to come up with words to fully process the last 48 hours aren’t possible,’ he said. ‘Seeing my son for the first time felt like a movie, I kept closing my eyes and finally realized it was true.
‘We love this boy so much and are so thankful for this time together. Lo and Ryver are doing great,’ he added.
Jason and Lauren tied the knot back in December of 2014 at the swanky the Four Seasons in Dallas, Texas.
He said of his fashion blogger wife at the time: ‘God has blessed me with somebody I’ve been waiting for my whole life. Lauren changed everything for me and I can’t believe I get to spend the rest of my life with her.’
In response, Lauren said: ‘Jason has completely changed my life, and I could not be more thankful for who he is and how he loves me. I can’t wait to spend forever with him.’
