Love It Or List It viewers slammed the latest ‘disorganised’ couple to appear on the series.
The Channel 4 show sees Phil Spencer and Kirstie Allsopp go head to head as they battle it out to help homeowners decide whether to love or sell their home.
During Wednesday’s episode, Anne-Marie and Paul were conflicted on whether to sell their property or renovate and stay in Milton Keynes.
The couple bought their 1920s three-bedroom home six years ago, right before the arrival of their first child. The property was a doer-upper but was still yet to be done up.
Paul’s twice-a-week 160-mile commute to Manchester for work left him wanting to move, but the pair have been debating it for four years as Anne-Marie wants to stay close to her family.
Anne-Marie said: ‘It would be great if Paul was here more.’ However, she pointed out that her friends and family – her support network – are in the area that they currently live.

It was clear she was counting on Kirstie working her magic and convince Paul to fall in love with their home again.
And viewers couldn’t help but notice how ‘messy’ the house was during Kirstie and Phil’s first visit, and said ‘tidying and painting’ would transform the house without any major renovations.
One wrote: ‘If they chucked out all the rubbish and tat in every room, gave the place a lick of paint and bought some decent furniture, the house would look so much better for a few thousand’
‘I never understand people who are happy to show on TV the dirt and clutter in their home. I’d get professional cleaners in first’
‘Another episode making me seethe with rage. House a complete tip, so disorganised and bloody toys in every room. There’s just no need to live in such a mess. Hire a skip’
The value of their Milton Keynes home before renovations was £468k, and after £54k worth of work it was valued at £523k.
After renovating and viewing several properties the couple decided to ‘list it’, but haven’t yet found their new home.
Last week on the show viewers slammed the ‘worst renovation ever’ on the show after a couple made minimal changes to their insufficient home.

Adie and Steven dealt with the dilemma of what to do with their four-bedroom property in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
While Adie wanted to ‘love it’, adamant that their house was full of potential, her husband Steven was less convinced and want to ‘list it’ to give their growing family a bigger home – and with a healthy budget of £800,000, they had a lot of options.
The couple shared their three-bedroom new build with their two young children, Nathaniel and Jane, but often needed more space to host family members from Nigeria who would sometimes stay for several months at a time.
Their complaints lay largely with a lack of space, as they would struggle to find bedrooms for visitors, while limited storage space left them no choice but to use their en-suite bathroom as a wardrobe.
Hosts Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer both had healthy budgets of £45,000 for renovations and £800,000 for a new buy respectively.
But viewers were left scratching their heads after the couple spent a sizeable chunk of their refurbishment budget on what they described as the ‘worst renovation’ the show had ever seen.
After shelling out £35,000 to refurbish their kitchen and conservatory, the couple eventually decided to ‘list’ their original property, having realised that they needed more space to accommodate their growing family.
At the beginning of the episode, the couple laid out each of their reasoning for wanting to ‘love’ it or ‘list it’.
Steven, who works as a support worker, was set on listing, saying the family had ‘outgrown the house’.
‘I think we need to list it because we need a bigger place and we need a bigger garden. And we’ve not got a window in the master bedroom,’ he said.
The couple purchased the house ten years earlier but had welcomed two children in that time, meaning it was no longer fit for purpose, with Steven yearning for a bigger garden for them to play.

The inside also lacked space, with a notable lack of bedrooms for visiting family members and so little storage that Steven was using their en-suite shower to store his clothes. He also complained that a lack of window in the bathrooms was posing a mould risk.
Meanwhile, risk officer Adie was desperate to hang onto their beloved family home, insisting their spatial issues could be fixed with a bit of innovation.
‘We just have to be creative my love, it is possible,’ Adie joked to her husband.
She said she loved the ‘location of the schools, the gym,’ and said she saw ‘potential’ in the house and was ‘yearning’ to put her ‘stamp on it’.
‘We have a network of friends which is not something you build overnight,’ the mother-of-two added.
‘Perfectly decent size, just not for a growing family and visiting grandparents,’ said co-host Kirstie, adding that the current situation wasn’t ‘working’.
Phil was keen to show the couple a selection of properties, with a budget of £200,000 over the area’s average for a four-bedroom property.
He showed the couple three properties in an attempt to persuade them to ‘list it’ – including a four bedroom semi-detached house just a five minute drive from their original home.
Priced under budget at £620,000, the local property would mean the two wouldn’t need to make any drastic changes to their lives, with schools and kids clubs nearby.
But both Adie and Steven had a negative first impression, with both complaining about small bedrooms and conservatory, keen to expand the size of their home as much as possible.
Another five-bedroom £720,000 house, which included a glamorous cinema room, bar and floor space double that of their current house, impressed the couple.
Adie said there was ‘a lot of potential’ but Steven had his reservations, still keen to nab them family a bigger garden.
Meanwhile, four-weeks later, the renovations still weren’t complete, with Adie impatient that the property wasn’t ready.
‘The changes in the house are effecting Steven a little bit, but because I love the area, I don’t think they have chance of convincing me to list it,’ the mother-of-two said.
A third property wowed the couple, with both falling head over heels for a £825,000 six-bedroom in Lower Stondon, just 30 minutes from their original home.
With an enormous garden, rainfall shower and glitzy interior and vast floor space, the property ticked every box for hopeful buyer, Steven.

Even team love it, Adie, was impressed, admiring the sprawling garden with accompanying shed, ping-pong table and stunning patio area.
‘I’ll give it to Phil, he’s done with this one,’ Adie said.
So infatuated, Steven beamed from ear-to-ear as he gave Phill a firm handshake, with even Adie warming to the glamorous property.
Later in the episode, the couple shared the renovations on their property, which viewers slammed, asking ‘where is the more space?’
Viewers were quick to express their views online, with one on X, formerly known as Twitter , describing at the ‘worst renovation’ they’d seen on the show.
‘S**t dining table , rubbish annexe – still all ‘bitty’ and the small art work lost on huge white walls with random family pH๏τos everywhere looks bloody awful . Worst reno on #LIOLI they’ve had,’ one lamented.
‘Late to the party with #LoveItOrLisтιт but Kirsty’s big idea here appears to be a shed,’ another said.
‘Nah it doesn’t work and is just more small unusable rooms,’ another penned.
‘£10K under budget because they’ve done f*** all… #LIOLI,’ a fourth added.
The couple revealed they had renovated their kitchen with completely white interior, which made it look much larger – despite not being any larger in size.
The drab browns have been banished and Adie had finally put her mark on it,’ Kirstie noted.
The mother-of-two said cooking had been made much easier and even Steven had tested the kitchen a few times – even though he ‘never cooked’ before.
The garage had also been connected internally to the house, making it feel just as the other bedrooms.
The garage was then able to offer a multi-purpose space that could be study, bedroom and living space depending on their needs at the time.
And the windowless ensuite had been transformed from a walk-in-wardrobe to a useable bathroom with a window added to improve mould.
It comes after Love It Or List It viewers were left baffled by the ‘worst renovation’ they’d ever seen on the show, which saw a couple make minimal changes to their very cramped house. Pictured: Adie and Steven were using their en-suite as a wardrobe

‘Of all the things people have done to their homes, this is one of the ones im most pleased about,’ said Kirstie.
The renovations came at £10,000 under budget, costing the couple £35,000 in total.
When it came to the valuation, the hosts revealed their previously £480,000 house was then worth £506,000.
‘Hats off,’ Kirstie praised.
With renovations finished and having had a glimpse at what was on the market, the next step was for the couple to make their decision.
Revealing their decision to love or list it, the pair said they were going to sell up and look for somewhere bigger.
‘We are going to list it,’ said Adie, giggling excitedly. She said what tipped that scale was having seen all the exciting properties on the market.
‘It’s working for us now but there’s a lot out there
The third property, loved by both when viewed it was Phil, was ‘under consideration’ for the pair.
Kirstie and Phil’s Love It Or List It airs Wednesdays on Channel 4 at 9pm.
