Sophia Bush flashed a ring on her wedding finger this week, sparking speculation she is engaged to girlfriend Ashlyn Harris.

The One Tree Hill star, 42, whose divorce from second husband Grant Hughes was finalized last month, sported an ornate gold and silver ring as she posed at the TIME Women of the Year Gala in West Hollywood on Tuesday.

The star drew attention to the ring as she held her purse in front of her on the red carpet.

The beauty wore a chic black jacket and slacks, paired with glittering gold jewelry, with her auburn locks worn in soft waves.

Sophia and Ashlyn publicly confirmed their romance in April 2024 when the actress came out as queer and revealed she was in love with the soccer star.

Speaking to Glamour magazine.Bush revealed in her own words that she now identifies as queer: ‘I feel like I can finally breathe,’ she said.

And the Chicago PD actress admitted that she is indeed ‘in love’ with Harris whom she became friends with in 2019 then started a romantic relationship with in October 2023 after her marriage with Grant fell apart and Ashlyn left her wife. 

‘I didn’t expect to find love in this support system,’ began the star who noted that her bond with Harris was rare and beautiful. ‘I don’t know how else to say it other than: I didn’t see it until I saw it.’

As far as falling for Ashlyn, she said it was a new frontier.

‘And I think it’s very easy not to see something that’s been in front of your face for a long time when you’d never looked at it as an option and you had never been looked at as an option,’ she shared.

‘What I saw was a friend with her big, happy life. And now I know she thought the same thing about me,’ said the star.

Bush added that the road to her romantic relationship with Harris was long after they met in 2019 and spent years becoming friends: ‘People looking in from the outside weren’t privy to just how much time it took, how many painful conversations were had,’ said Sophia.

‘A lot of effort was made to be graceful with other people’s processing, their time and obligations, and their feelings.’

Harris has two children with her estranged wife Ali Krieger.

In January she  settled her divorce from Grant Hughes following their August 2023 split and amid her new romance with Ashlyn Harris.

Bush wed Hughes in 2022 and they were married for 13 months before splitting.

Court documents obtained by TMZ show the former couple entered into a confidential settlement on December 30, 2024. 

Bush was previously married to One Tree Hill co-star Chad Michael Murray from 2005-2006. 

In June 2024, Bush recalled a conversation with ‘one of her best friends’ that helped her realize she is biSєxual following her divorce.

While appearing on her Work in Progress podcast, the star opened up about a chat with one of her closest pals, who suggested she may not ‘like men.’

‘One of of my best friends looked at me and was like, ‘I gotta say, that was just painful to watch, and I’m so glad you’re getting out of it,” she recalled of ending her year-long marriage in 2023. 

Bush then noted that her friend bluntly dropped that they didn’t ‘actually think’ she was into men. 

Prior to the chat, Bush said she did not feel she could identify as queer because she was primarily involved with men.

After speaking with her friend, she said she had a ‘revolutionary f**king idea’ about her Sєxuality. 

‘The queer community has been my home and is the home of my whole family since I was old enough to understand,’ she said. ‘Uncle Tony had a boyfriend and not a girlfriend. 

Bush continued: ‘I would never want to hurt the people I care the most about who’ve been in this fight for liberation for so long. [I told myself I was] gonna get out of the way. ‘And then, it was like, “Well, maybe I don’t have to get out of the way. Maybe I just get to like who I like.”‘
