Kate Beckinsale asked her fans to pray for her mother amid her stage four cancer battle – as she returned to Instagram with an emotional post on Tuesday.
The actress, 51, asked for good wishes to be sent to her ‘extraordinary’ mother Judy Loe who she called a ‘warrior’ in her post.
She revealed that her mum was sick last year – just after her stepdad Roy Battersby died in January after suffering ‘a mᴀssive stroke’.
Kate penned in the caption of the post about her mum: ‘I wasn’t going to come back to Instagram but anyone who has a spare prayer or magic or miracle or sunbeam please send it to my mama, my most extraordinary, warrior, generous, humble, loving, unique, irreplaceable Mama.
‘Thank you – Lord, keep her safe this night, secure from all her fears, may angels guard her while she sleeps till morning light appears, amen.’
Alongside the poignant words she shared a series of sweet clips and pH๏τos with her mother.
Kate mysteriously deleted all of the posts from her Instagram account last month after she was trolled with cruel comments about her weight.

Kate, the daughter of late Porridge star Richard Beckinsale, didn’t elaborate on the state of her mother’s health in the post.
It was flooded with well wishes from her fans.
Last year Kate spent weeks in hospital with a stress-related tear in her oesophagus after her stepfather, Roy died and her mother developed cancer.
Last July she gave an update on how she was coping, saying: ‘I just think people go through things in their life and we all face difficulties and I’ve been quite transparent about mine.
‘I’ve just been mainly dealing with my mother and she’s doing OK.’
At the time she revealed her weight loss was down to the ‘stress and grief’ of the death of her stepfather and her mother’s cancer diagnosis as she hit back at trolls.
The actress slammed some of her ‘a**hole’ followers, who told her she needed to put on weight in the comments section of an Instagram post at the time.
After sharing a video clip in a crop top and ʙικιɴι bottoms, one follower queried where her ‘a**’ had gone and encouraged Kate to ‘do some squats’.

Another claimed her body had ‘shrank’ while another insisted that she ‘seemed upset’ in the video.
However, Kate fired back at the cruel comments ands explained that there were several reasons for her changed figure, including a six-week hospital stint.

She replied: ‘No, actually, I watched my stepfather die quite shockingly, my mother has stage 4 cancer and I lost a lot of eight from stress and grief…
‘Quite quickly and then I was in hospital for six weeks because the grief had burned a hole in my oesophagus, which made me vomit copious amounts of blood, and I found eating very hard…
‘And I just worked very very hard on a movie that was actually quite triggering because it also involved the theme of the death of my father so I’m not really concerned about what you think about my a**.
‘Maybe you should worry about your own f***ing a**. I suggest shoving something up it, like a large pineapple or a brick.’
Kate’s stepdad Roy Battersby died last January after suffering ‘a mᴀssive stroke’ while battling two forms of cancer, which he was diagnosed with the summer before.

Shortly after his death, Kate also revealed that her mother Judy had also been told she has stage four cancer.
In recent months, Kate had been caring for her mother and late stepfather after flying them out from the UK to stay with her in Los Angeles.
‘Kate has been caring for her parents, who both have serious illnesses, for most of the year,’ a source exclusively revealed to DailyMail.com late last year.
In a Mother’s Day post last year, Kate shared a slew of snaps of Judy tucking into cake and enjoying champagne as well as images of herself on the ward amid her health battle and of her dogs playing.
She captioned the images: ‘Happy birthday and UK Mother’s Day this last week to my incredible mother. Thank you to those that love us and support us when it’s s**t and try to make sure there are some bits that aren’t.’
Kate continued: ‘And for looking after our dogs when we can’t, and lead us to remember happy things when we can’t.
‘And turn up when we are sick and sit with us.. And send balloons and check in and pull us out of wells with love.
‘Thank you for loving us, those who do ,and for the amazing, kindest Nick, and especially for my mother’s capacity for joy. It is so inspiring and beautiful.
‘Happy everything mama. Your fight for joy despite also welcoming tears is the experience of watching a warrior up close. I love you x.’
On January 10, Kate announced the death of stepfather Roy aged 87.
An insider revealed at the time that the Snow Angels star — whose biological father Richard Beckinsale died in 1979 at 31 from a heart attack in his sleep — had been feeling the emotional toll in recent months.
‘She was spotted this week several times crying in the corridors of UCLA hospital,’ the source added. ‘Her friends are very concerned that she has been under relentless strain for months and hardly sleeping or eating.
‘Kate appears to be very strong but this has been incredibly hard and, given that she lost her father so young, is affecting her very deeply. Her friends are concerned for her own health.’
A second source explained that her mother Judy had chosen to keep her health battle private, stating: ‘She’s extraordinary, you wouldn’t even know by looking at her. She has been keeping a very positive atтιтude throughout everything.’

She also shared another look at the document which had a sweet message on, along with more snaps of Roy.
It read: ‘We wish to thank you, our family and friends, for your loving support and being with us today to honour and commemorate Roy.
‘Please join us afterwards to celebrate him and his life, share memories and stories, and inevitably miss him, knowing how much he would enjoy such a get-together’.
Kate’s mother Judy married Roy 18 years after Kate’s father, Porridge star Richard Beckinsale, died.
Roy enjoyed his own successful career as a director, working on major British on-screen hits including Inspector Morse and Cracker. His most recent directorial credit was for a 2006 episode of A Touch Of Frost.
Kate’s biological father Richard Beckinsale was best known for his roles as Lennie Godber in the BBC sitcom Porridge and Alan Moore in the ITV sitcom Rising Damp.
He also had a daughter — Samantha, 55 — who is his only child from his marriage to Margaret Bradley.
