Jacqui struggled with heroin addiction, while her husband Laurence had gone sober.

She managed to deliver their son, Michael, after a complicated birth and later in the instalment, Laurence realised Jacqui was still taking drugs and had sold her wedding ring to buy more.

He confronted her and said: ‘You sold your wedding ring for this? Where did you even get this from?’

The instalment featured the tragic death of Cyril Robinson’s treasured cat, Nigel.

Cyril, played by Zephryn Taitte, first acquired the feline after he found him on a street in Poplar during the Christmas special in 2023.

Nigel’s health sadly took a turn for the worst. Nurse Rosalind Clifford, played by Natalie Quarry, discovered the ill cat and took him to Cyril, wrapped in a blanket.

‘I need you to last ’til the morning, so I can take you to the vet,’ Cyril said to his beloved pet.

However, by the morning Nigel had pᴀssed away and he was laid to rest in an emotional scene.
