Christine McGuinness, 36, makes history as the first female winner of Celebrity Hunted as she confesses it has changed her life

Christine McGuinness has made history as the first female winner of Celebrity Hunted following the final episode of the show on Sunday night.

The personality, 36, who divorced her ex-husband Paddy last year, evaded capture from the hunters and was crowned the winner after being on the run with Blue’s Duncan James.

Reflecting on her time on the Channel 4 series, she confessed to the Mirror that the experience changed her life for good and has a new found sense of confidence.

She told the publication: ‘The best thing from it was realising that actually I can do more than I think I can.

‘If I’m with the right person and someone understanding and caring, I’m a lot more capable than I think.

‘I doubt myself, I preempt a lot, and I probably put myself down more than I should.’

She then went on to say confess that she is too hard on herself and now knows she is more capable than I think.

Series six of Celebrity Hunted saw twelve celebrities tasked with going on the run across mainland UK while an elite team of Hunters tried to track them down.

They had to evade capture for two weeks, while the Hunters throw all their resources at catching them.

The Hunters were a handpicked team of police and military personnel, armed with the powers of the state – CCTV and ANPR cameras, helicopters, drones, dogs, media campaigns and the latest in cyber forensic technology.

Alongside Christine and Duncan were Strictly dancers Giovanni Pernice and Kai Widdrington; Loose Women Denise Welsh and her Husband Lincoln Townley.

Podcasters David Whitely and Zeze Millz; Soap Stars Danielle Harold and Kimberly Hart-Simpson and News Anchors Simon McCoy and Lucrezia Millarini, also starred on the show

Christine then confessed to MailOnline that she doesn’t want to get into anything ‘too serious’.

She revealed that she wants to stay single through summer and have some fun.

The blonde beauty told MailOnline: ‘I am in nothing serious. I want to stay single through summer definitely and my big priority right now, to focus more on, is my children, myself and my career.

‘I don’t want to get into anything too serious. I just want to have fun but be respectable and prioritising my children, myself and my career.’

Christine split from former Take Me Out host Paddy McGuinness in 2021 after just over a decade of marriage.

They recently spent Christmas Day together for the sake of their children; twins Penelope and Leo, 11, and Felicity, eight.
