Britain’s Got Talent has had its fair share of very memorable auditions over the years.

And one child star wowed then-judges Amanda Holden, Michael McIntyre and Louis Walsh when he took to the stage in 2011.

The then-12-year-old got a standing ovation when he debuted his incredible vocal talents to the gobsmacked judges and audience.

Now 26 years old, he has had quite the career change, quietly moving away from the spotlight to work in hospitality.

The Norfolk-born star often shows off his fashion sense by sharing plenty of stylish snaps for his 50,000 Instagram followers. 

Back in 2011, Ronan placed runner-up on the show, being beaten only by winner Jai McDowall.

Auditioning at the age of 12, Ronan wowed the judges with a jaw-dropping rendition of Feeling Good by Nina Simone.

He brought the audience and judges to their feet, while his mother was reduced to tears in the wings with Ant and Dec. 

But despite being bookies’ favourite at the time to win the compeтιтion, Scottish singer Jai ultimately stole the crown.

After his BGT stint, he signed a record deal with Sony Music and released a charted self-тιтled debut album in 2011 – which soared to number 22 in the charts.

He also released a Christmas hit and a charity single in 2012 to represent anti-bullying. 

In his early adult life, Ronan released a single called No Love (Like First Love) and an album тιтled Found My Way in 2018 – which was the last time he released new music.

While he now works in hospitality, Ronan still continues to follow his pᴀssion for singing and performed at London Pride back in 2019.

In a past interview, Ronan spoke about his idenтιтy after suffering online homophobic abuse during his stint on the talent compeтιтion.

Reflecting on his time on the show, he said: ‘I look back at it in different ways. It was mostly a positive experience, but there were certain things that happened when I was young that I could look back and say, ‘Oh, I was too young to do that.’

‘Being on social media was difficult. I was 12 and people were saying this really negative stuff, and it was always about Sєxuality, always. 

‘I’d never spoken about it – I was really young, there was no need to. But it was nearly always about that and that was difficult to deal with.’
