Kate Cᴀssidy’s hidden social media tribute to her boyfriend Liam Payne has emerged after the One Direction star’s tragic death.

The singer died aged 31 on October 16, 2024, after falling from a H๏τel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, following a drug binge.

Kate, 25 – who began dating Liam in 2022 – has been battling her grief and recently celebrated her first Valentine’s Day without him.

Now, her hidden message to Liam in a recent TikTok video has been revealed by a relationship psychologist.

Kate recently shared footage of herself cuddling her dog Nala, who she and Liam adopted over the summer mere months before his death.

In the clip, which was posted last month, Kate sat on her front doorstep and sweetly embraced the pooch while Sparks by Coldplay played in the background.

In a caption, she gushed: ‘From foster to forever.’

Analysing the video, expert Jo Hemmings claimed the post was Kate’s way of acknowledging her grief online without explicitly making mention of Liam.

She told The Sun: ‘It’s a way of showing her grief, because Nala has become even more important since Liam’s death – like pets do for many people.

‘It’s a really sweet way of acknowledging Liam without doing it in an explicit way.’

Kate has since shared a Valentine’s Day tribute to Liam on her Instagram as she commemorated the day without him. 

The model shared a pH๏τograph of the touching gift her best friend got her – a pH๏τo frame filled with black and white pH๏τos of her and Liam together. 

It had her ‘angel’ number ‘444’ written in the middle as well as the couple’s initials ‘LP [heart emoji] KC’.

‘Couldn’t ask for a better best friend. This Valentine’s gift is so special,’ Kate wrote as she shared the post on her Instagram Stories.

The number 444 holds a special significance for Kate and Liam. 

After his death, she referenced the angel numbers as she revealed they had been planning to marry in the weeks leading up to his pᴀssing. 

She wrote: ‘A few weeks ago, we sat outside on a beautiful evening manifesting our lives together.

‘I keep your note close, even though you told me not to look at it. It said, “Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged and together forever 444.” 

‘Liam, I know we’ll be together forever, but not in the way we had planned. You’ll always be with me. I’ve gained a guardian angel. 

‘I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond, carrying our dreams and memories with me everywhere I go. Forever yours, Katelyn 444.’

Angel numbers are sequences of numbers that often contain repeтιтion or patterns, popping up in everyday life and being interpreted as messages from the spiritual world.

Kate also shared her wonder at the number four popping up repeatedly in the notifications on her phone screen from an app she installed during a trip to see the Northern Lights with Liam last year.

Kate has since shared a Valentine’s Day tribute to Liam on her Instagram as she commemorated the day without him 

‘Came across this when I first woke up whole checking my notifications…. Liam and I were seeing the Northern Lights exactly a year ago today for Valentine’s,’ she wrote on the screensH๏τ.

‘I never deleted this app. Signs are real 444 [love heart emoji]. Happy Valentine’s Liam.’ 

The notifications said: ‘The latest observed KP value reach 4,’ and filled her phone screen.

The KP index tells people how likely they are to see the Northern Lights as it represents geomagnetic activity in the sky on a scale from 0 to 9.

Kate also recently shared her grief as she broke down in tears while thanking fans for their support following the singer’s death. 

‘I can’t even believe I’m sitting here filming this video right now, speaking about this like I’ll never really understand,’ the vlogger said on TikTok.

‘This was a platform I used to use for fun with Liam and do all those silly little dances and do our little videos together.

‘I’m so glad I have those memories and that I was able to share that side of our relationship with the world.

‘I wish Liam was here to be able to see the amount of love and support he’s received worldwide because it’s what he deserves and what he would have wanted.

‘I’m not the only one grieving right now, I know he impacted so many of you guys and he really did love his fans.

‘I just wanted to come on here and say thank you so much for all the kind words once again that have been sent my way because it does not go unnoticed or unseen.

‘As I navigate this next chapter of my life without Liam, it’s just, I don’t even know what to say.’

She concluded: ‘It’s really kind seeing the support and love that has been sent my way. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.’

Kate had accompanied Liam on the trip to Argentina in October.

She left early to look after their rescue dog, Nala, at the Florida home they lived in together.

Liam was then tragically found ᴅᴇᴀᴅ on October 16 after falling from a H๏τel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

His medical cause of death has been announced to be ‘polytrauma’, a term which means a person has multiple traumatic injuries to their body.
