A Place In The Sun viewers were left outraged by the reason a couple gave for putting a low offer on a property.
Married couple Denise and Nick from SusSєx featured on Thursday’s episode of the Channel 4 show, hosted by Ben Hillman.
The couple turned to the property show to help them find a holiday home in northern Corfu that they can enjoy with their family with a budget of up to £300,000 and an additional £50,000 wiggle room.
Denise and Nick holidayed in Corfu over 20 years ago and have returned many times since and see it as a ‘slightly warmer home from home,’ presenter Ben explained.
They fell in love with a two-bedroom villa with stunning sea views and a swimming pool priced at £338,983.
Despite loving the property, Denise and Nick decided to make an offer nearly £40,000 below the asking price.

‘Let’s talk about that property and the price. It’s been on the market for a year. It’s priced at just under £339,000, are you feeling like you’re going to put an offer on this place?’ Ben asked.
The couple revealed they were ‘going in at £300,000’ and explaining their reasoning for the proposition, Nick described how, ‘It’s got no central heating, although the pipes are ready in place, things like that.’
Denise then chimed in with another reason why they were offering the lower amount.
She said: ‘But we’re compromising in that we’ve got to drive now to get a coffee in the mornings. So we’re willing to compromise on that and this is the reflection on our offer.’
The offer was rejected by the owner who said they would only go as low as around £322,000.
Denise and Nick decided to accept and secured the stunning Greek property.
However, some viewers were shocked by their reasoning, with some discussing the coffee explanation in particular on social media.
One fumed: ‘How is the property owner responsible for 40k of morning coffee runs #APlaceInTheSun.’;

It comes after an episode last month saw A Place In The Sun viewers call out a pair of house hunters for a huge blunder.
A slower pace of life attracted Nikki and Gordon to find a holiday home in Gozo with a hefty £350,000 budget.
Some viewers were shocked by their reasoning, with some discussing the coffee explanation in particular on social media
Host Ben Hillman showed the couple around several properties, including a two-bedroom apartment with a balcony for £359,649 and a two-bedroom penthouse apartment for £368,421.
But neither Nikki or Gordon had even stepped foot on the Mediterranean island, despite wanting to live there.
On the Channel 4 show, Ben said: ‘They’ve chosen Gozo as their ideal location, despite the fact that they’ve never been before.’
Some viewers took to social media and posted their opinion on the blunder.
