Selena Gomez cuddles in bed with Gracie Abrams in music video for new single Call Me When You Break Up

Selena Gomez and Gracie Abrams have released the music video for their brand new single Call Me When You Break Up.

While singing about waiting by the phone for a call from a former flame, the duo filmed themselves from a front-facing iPhone camera as they cuddled up to each other.

Gomez, 32, and Abrams, 25, croon in the duet, which features sentimental lyrics juxtaposed with an upbeat, pop tempo.

In the music video, which they dropped on Thursday evening, the actress and Abrams — who previously collaborated with Gomez’s best friend Taylor Swift and opened for her on The Eras Tour — sport matching brunette bobs and cheery smiles.

Together, they sing about longing for their respective exes with lyrics like they are ‘so meant for each other’ and telling a lover from their past that they are ‘always here.’

The song is the second offering from Gomez and Benny Blanco’s forthcoming joint album, I Said I Love You First, which is set to be released on March 21.

She cuts a casual figure in a white tank top with two dainty, black bows on the front and a pair of pink, pinstriped pajama shorts.

Her brunette bob is styled in a subtle C-curl, framing her face, with her bangs pinned up with contrasting, white clips.

As she sings expressively and waves her hands around, she shows off the stunning rock now situated on her ring finger.

Paired with the mᴀssive diamond, she sports dainty pave hoop earrings, a gold choker paired with a black, velvet one.

When Abrams’ verse begins, Gomez pᴀsses the camera to her. During her verse, she sings: ‘We’re so meant for each other, I mean, God, when will you wake up, wake up?’

The Story of Us singer also sported cozy attire as well as rosy, pink makeup nearly identical to Gomez’s.

Abrams layered a peachy-pink zip-up hoodie over a white, lace top and black pants.

For the second chorus, they start harmonizing as they smile with their faces pressed up against each other’s, cheek-to-cheek.

‘Call me when you break up / unless you found the person that you want a new name from,’ she sings at the end of the song as Abrams looks at the newly engaged star knowingly.

‘I’d like to be there when that day comes / You know I’m always here so don’t ever be a stranger.’

Gomez’s new musical release comes on the heels of her engagement to Blanco and shortly after she teased her fans about ‘retiring from music.’

After dating for over a year, the pair announced their engagement in December 2024 and took to social media to share pH๏τos from the proposal.

The release comes shortly after Gomez and Blanco dropped their song, Scared of Loving You, last week when they announced the news of their collaborative record.

Earlier this week, she held a listening event for the then-unreleased song in London and revealed who the song is really about.

Even though fans might ᴀssume that the song may be about Gomez’s infamous romance with Justin Bieber, she clarified that it is not about any of her former flames.

‘To get the obvious statement out of the way, this song is actually about a best friend that I have in my life so it’s not about anything that you think it is.’

Gomez and Blanco’s collaborative record will mark her first full-length studio release since her 2020 album Rare.

Lyrics to Call Me When You Break Up by Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco, Gracie Abrams

Call me when you break up

I wanna be the first one on your mind when you wake up

I miss the way we’d stay up

We’d talk about forever when I’m taking off my makeup

Call me when you break up

And maybe for a time I could have the space they take up

And make you forget what their name was

And when you’re feeling down, I can show ya what you’re made of

Call me when you break up (ah ah ahh, ah, ah, ahh, ahh)

Call me when you break up (ah ah ahh, ah, ah, ahh, ahh)

I’ll make it worth it

I’ll make it worth it

I’ll make it worth it

I’ll make it worth it

I’ll make it worth it

I’ll make it worth it

I’ll make it worth it and maybe you could

Call me when you break up

I’m battling the lack of us

I’ve looked for medication

Tried every obvious replacement

In bars, in strangers’ beds

Until my faith was in the basement

Won’t you call me when you break up?

I feel so out of luck, I’m skipping cracks along the pavement

Look I’m emotionally bankrupt

We’re so meant for each other

I mean, God, when will you wake up, wake up?

Call me when you break up (ah ah ahh, ah, ah, ahh, ahh)

Call me when you breakup (ah ah ahh, ah, ah, ahh, ahh)

I’ll make it worth it

I’ll make it worth it

I’ll make it worth it

I’ll make it worth it

I’ll make it worth it

I’ll make it worth it

I’ll make it worth it and maybe you could

Oh, you picked up, umm…

Call me when you break up

Unless you found the person that you want a new name from

I’d like to be there when that day comes

You know I’m always here

So don’t ever be a stranger
