Gordon Ramsay makes VERY racy confession about his new restaurant as he admits things keep getting stolen after expanding his culinary empire

Gordon Ramsay made a very racy confession as he revealed what people are really getting up to in the toilets of his new restaurant.

The TV chef, 58, has expanded his culinary empire in the form of the 120-seat Lucky Cat on level 60 at 22 Bishopsgate, which serves dishes like soft shell crab maki and uni toast.

However, couples have been sneaking off to the toilets for some alone time as Gordon admitted staff were having ‘problems’ with the lavatories.

Appearing on this week’s upcoming episode of The Jonathan Ross Show, Gordon confessed: ‘We’ve got a problem with the toilets. There are lots of couples going in there and treating it like the “mile high” bathroom.’

Yet the restaurant woes haven’t stopped there as the star also admitted they are having an issue with thefts as customers are stealing the lucky cat statues on each table.

He explained: ‘The cats are getting stolen. There were 477 stolen last week – they cost £4.50 each!’

Earlier this month, Gordon opened four new restaurants in the same building with each one higher up than any other eatery in London.

The height of the eateries means they all clinch the тιтle of London’s highest restaurant from Duck & Waffle on the 40th floor of the nearby Salesforce Tower, also on Bishopsgate.

Reflecting on his global success, Gordon said: ‘It does get a bit scary, in terms of how big it is and the global impact. The team are incredible and there are some amazing chefs throughout.

‘Opening in 1998 Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, I would never have thought it would be here today – this year we celebrated 24 years at three star Michelin.’

However running a restaurant empire doesn’t come without its challenges and earlier this month one of his establishments closed down following series of bad reviews, with one furious customer calling for the top chef to ‘come and sort it out himself’.

Angry diners complained of ‘bad taste, bad service, bad price and bad everything’ at the Street Burger branch on Kensington High Street.

The restaurant, which is part of a chain owned by the chef famous for his temper in the kitchen, is rated just 3.5 stars on TripAdvisor.

A whopping 76 out of a total 226 reviews had branded it as either ‘poor’ or ‘terrible’ at the time of publication.

Now the restaurant in west London has been boarded up, says it is closed online and no longer appears on the Street Burger website, MailOnline revealed.

Signs on the window suggest it will be replaced by a Burger & Lobster restaurant with renovations currently taking place at the site.

One furious customer wrote on TripAdvisor in January: ‘Bad taste bad service bad size bad price bad everything.

‘If this is something to do with Gordon Ramsay’s recipes – Wake up. GR!’

Another called on Mr Ramsay to come down and ‘sort this restaurant out’, adding that it is ’empty half the time’.

The Jonathan Ross Show airs Saturday at 9:30PM on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.
