EastEnders star Michael Greco has revealed the surprising amount he earns from repeat episodes of the BBC One show, two decades after his last appearance.
The British actor, 54, played Beppe Di Marco on the long-running soap from 1998 to 2002.
The Di Marco family was introduced as rivals to the infamous Mitchell family. Alongside Michael, the line-up included his on-screen brother Gianni (Marc Bannerman) and younger sisters Teresa (Leila Birch) and Nicky (Carly Hillman).
Although he hasn’t appeared in Walford for several years, Michael revealed he still earns money from the show.
Speaking to Scott McGlynn on the Celebrity Skin Talk Show, he admitted: ‘Yeah I know about the re-runs. I get a £1.27 repeat fees every six months from episodes.’
The actor also shared that he hasn’t been invited back for the show’s 40th anniversary.

Despite a number of former actors reprising their roles, Michael expressed disappointment that producers didn’t reach out to him.
He said: ‘I didn’t get the call, I wasn’t asked to go back at all. I’m not on their radar so, I think if wasn’t asked back to help with their 40th I don’t think I never go back.’
Michael added: ‘If they want you back they get you back. I used to be in the vice squad maybe that be my way to join back in, and arrest someone you know.’
The actor has also previously criticised the way he left the show, suggesting he would have preferred a bigger send-off.
Speaking to FruitySlots.com, he said: ‘There were circumstances that prevented me from having a bigger send off, I won’t go into them as it’s water under the bridge.’
He added: ‘But I just left in a cab, didn’t I? I said goodbye to Lynn in the cafe and then had a packet of crisps and drove to Leicester.’
The 40th anniversary has seen several dramatic storylines played out this week.
EastEnders fans rejoiced on Wednesday evening as antagonist Reiss Colwell was brutally killed off following the explosion of the Queen Vic.
The blaze ignited after Cindy Beale pushed her husband Ian into the path of a car driven by Reiss, who swerved to avoid him and crashed into the Queen Vic.

The collision triggered an explosion, sending the vehicle straight into gas canisters. Several Walford legends were trapped inside the pub, their fates uncertain amid the chaos.
Reiss had returned to the Queen Vic to see Sonia when Bianca pushed him into the path of a bathtub, which fell from the ceiling, seemingly ending the villain’s life.
Before his death, he had visited Sonia while she was in labour, trapped in the kitchen with Lauren Branning and Bianca Jackson, he remarked: ‘It sounds like congratulations are in order.’
Sonia shouted: ‘You are a freak, Reiss. You are a murdering freak. You’re not going to be any part of my daughter’s life.
‘You don’t mean that, it’s the hormones talking. We’re meant to be together and the sooner you realise that- blood is thicker than water and that baby will always be my blood’, Reiss said.
Pushing him backwards, Bianca screamed: ‘Why don’t you just drop ᴅᴇᴀᴅ!’
Unharmed, Reiss said: ‘Well, that was close.’
However, Reiss spoke too soon, as a mᴀssive bath tub then came crashing down on top of him.
