Charlize Theron hit Australian waters this week as she continued production on her upcoming Netflix film Apex in parts of Sydney and Western Sydney.
On Wednesday, the Oscar-winner, 49, paddled a neon yellow kayak along a river as cameras rolled.
The typically glamorous star looked makeup-free and rocked a hooded sweatshirt and leggings for the action-packed scene.
In between takes, the film’s hair and makeup team performed touchups on Theron.
At one point, the Monster star stripped off her hoodie to reveal a brown racerback tank top that showed off her sculpted arms.
The tank top was styled with blue skinny jeans and her short blonde hair was worn in loose waves.

Directed by Baltasar Kormákur, who’s working from a script by Jeremy Robbins, Apex is a survival thriller for Netflix.
Along with Theron, the movie also co-stars Eric Bana and Taron Egerton.
In Apex, Theron plays a grieving a rock climber who retreats into the wilderness, only to find herself entangled in a perilous game with a serial killer in the wild, according to Screen Hub.
ᴅᴇᴀᴅline has described the premise of the screenplay as a mix of the documentary Free Solo (2018), which profiles rock climber Alex Honnold, meets the classic horror thriller The Silence Of The Lambs (1991), that starred Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins.
Theron, 49, was first spotted shooting scenes on the banks of the waterway on Wednesday afternoon as she waited patiently for the director and the props to be put in place.

She then appeared to practice her paddling form, all the while getting some encouragement from a couple of crew members.
Along with leading the cast, Theron is also producing Apex through her company, Secret Menu, alongside Dawn Olmstead, Beth Kono, and AJ Dix.
Some of the production partners also include Kormákur’s RVK Studios, Ian Bryce Productions, and Chernin Entertainment.
After the shoot for Apex, Theron will reportedly move right into production for the epic fantasy-action film The Odyssey, featuring a cast of big stars like Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o and Robert Pattinson, among others.
The mother of two will also star in the upcoming superhero film The Old Guard 2, which is set to drop on Netflix July 2.
Theron first came to international prominence in the 1990s by playing lead roles in such Hollywood films as The Devil’s Advocate (1997), Mighty Joe Young (1998) and The Cider House Rules (1999).
