Denise Richards made rare comments about her youngest ‘angel’ daughter Eloise in a candid chat as she opened up about the teen’s chromosomal disorder.
The TV personality, 54 – who will be joined by her three daughters on her upcoming Bravo reality series – adopted Eloise when she was an infant in 2011.
Five years later, she was diagnosed with a deletion in chromosome 8 – which has caused Eloise, 13, to have delayed development, such as with walking and speech.
Richards – who also shares daughters Sami, 20, and Lola, 19, with ex Charlie Sheen – told People, ‘Eloise is a bright light. She is always happy. Everyone loves being around her.’
The RHOBH alum expressed that her eldest children ‘are so amazing with her’ and added, ‘They feel that I had her, that’s their sister. So they have a wonderful relationship with her.’
Denise shared that Eloise has also reminded the family to ‘stop and smell the roses’ in regards to their busy lives.

Richards later called her youngest child a gift ‘from God’ and reflected on not knowing how the disorder would affect Eloise upon learning of the diagnosis.
‘Early on, we thought she would be talking, but she is primarily considered nonverbal,’ the star explained, adding that she is ‘aware’ and ‘observant.’
‘She understands everything. And it was a very challenging situation with her trying to figure out what was really going on with her. It was hard.’
Sami also talked about her own relationship with her younger sibling and sweetly referenced Eloise by her nickname Wheeze.
She gushed that the pair are ‘best friends’ and enjoy doing each other’s makeup and going on shopping sprees.
Upon marrying her husband Aaron Phypers in 2018, he also adopted Eloise one year later.
‘It wasn’t even a decision. It is just is,’ he told People. ‘She’s a sweetheart. I love her. I think of her as my own.’
Back in 2019, Denise opened up about the hardships of trying to discover her daughter’s diagnosis during the season nine RHOBH reunion, per Bravo.

‘We found out probably two years ago. It was a very difficult thing to diagnose. It was really hard.’
The actress continued, ‘When I saw what was written on the medical report to get the blood test and all the testing done, it was hard to see it in black and white. It’s just hard to see with your kid, you know.’
And while talking to People for an interview that same year, Denise expressed that Eloise ‘wasn’t able to sit up on her own for a very long time, and she didn’t start walking until she was 2, and that was with physical therapy.
‘There are times when she feels like her age in understanding, and then other times where it feels she’s emotionally 3 years old. It’s been challenging,’ the star later added.

Richards admitted that she was ‘learning every day because they don’t really have a road map for her particular case.’
Eloise will join her mother on her upcoming Bravo reality series Denise Richards & Her Wild Things – which is slated to air the first two episodes on March 4.
Back in June of last year, it was announced that the TV personality would star in her own show that focuses on how she ‘navigates being an actress, wife and mother in the public eye.’
Sami – who joined OnlyFans at the age of 18 – and Lola will also appear in the 30-minute episodes, as well as Denise’s husband Aaron Phypers. Other special guests stars are set to also make appearances in the show.
Earlier this month, a teaser was released to give fans a closer look at Richards and her family in the upcoming series.
The trailer began by showing moments from the star’s busy career, such as appearing on a podcast and doing a pH๏τo shoot.
‘I’m just trying to balance everything. I’m an actress, wife, the Hollywood thing, and I’m a mom,’ Denise told the cameras in a confessional.
‘Being in the public eye and in Hollywood is really hard, especially when your mom and dad are Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen,’ the actress continued.

The sneak peek ended with Denise adding, ‘People think it gets so much easier when they’re older. It gets harder. There is no d**n a** f***ing handbook for it, that’s for sure.’
Eloise was briefly spotted in the teaser as she flashed a big smile while seated next to her mother inside a vehicle.
She also joined her family in promo stills for the Bravo show – 16 years after the end of Denise’s previous project called, Denise Richards: It’s Complicated.
The show aired from 2008 through 2009, and years later, the beauty also starred in Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills for a total of two seasons until her exit in September 2020.
