The X Factor star that Simon Cowell branded vile was pictured for the first time in years on Wednesday.

Rachel Lester, who appeared on the 2007 series, famously proclaimed she did ‘nothing’ for work because she was ‘lazy at the moment,’ an audition that still remains a firm fan favourite.

An Instagram update by The Archbishop of Banterbury showed the TV personality smiling for a pH๏τo, still sporting her iconic dark eyeshadow.

Back in 2007, Rachel confidently professed: ‘I’ve got The X Factor because I am a natural talent. At the end of the day, I deserve it. I’m just too goddamn good.’

Once she strutted into the room, then-judge Sharon Osbourne asked about her occupation, to which she responded: ‘Nothing, I’m lazy at the moment.’

‘Do you ever sing professionally?’ Sharon followed up.

‘Of course, I’ve been singing all my life, all around the towns and everything.’

Upon performing her song, she stated her performance was 10 out of 10 and she could sing better than Madonna before singing Sugar Walls by Sheena Easton.

Simon then blasted the rendition, hailing her ‘vile’ and her performance ‘the worst,’ ‘Everything I wouldn’t want, lazy, deluded, very little talent’, he added.

Rachel hit back and said that the judges ‘lick each other’s f*****g arses, all to get where you want to f*****g be.’

Her audition still circulates social media, with her distinctive facial expressions during the performance making her popular in memes and often featured on Twitter.

In August even Sharon Osbourne recreated the iconic X Factor moment as she attended Taylor Swift’s show in London.

While at the gig, one excited fan asked Sharon to recreate one of The X Factor’s most iconic auditions, that of Rachel.

In the clip shared on X, Sharon began by asking: ‘Okay what’s your name?’

‘Rachel,’ the fan replied, to which Sharon asked: ‘What do you do for a living?’

‘Nothing I’m lazy at the moment,’ the fan said. ‘Do you ever sing professional?’ Come on, tell us,’ Sharon said.

The fan then delivered the iconic line: ‘Yeah of course I’ve been singing all my life, all round the towns and everything.’

Sharon replied: ‘Why don’t you sing for us now?’
