Yet Zach Galifianakis made a rare public outing on Monday as he stopped to sign autographs for fans in Brooklyn, New York.
Zach – who was in the city for the Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Special – seemed in good spirits on the outing as he chatted with pᴀssersby.
He went incognito as he layered up in a khaki jacket and grey flat cap.
Zach will next be seen on screens in the upcoming live adaptation of Disney’s Lilo & Sтιтch.

Fans branded him ‘lovely’ and ‘wonderful’ after it emerged that The Hangover star once saved an elderly woman from homelessness.
The Hollywood actor met Mimi Haist back in 1994 while she was volunteering at his local laundromat at Santa Monica living off tips.
Decades later, Zach found out she was homeless and swooped into help.
He hunted down a one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment for then 87-year-old woman and paid her rent, the New York Daily News reported.
And Zach was not alone in his commendable efforts.
The Puss In Boots star employed fellow movie star Renee Zellweger to help Mimi with decorating the apartment.
A source told Star magazine: ‘[Renee] furnished the apartment and makes sure that Mimi always has food in her fridge.’
According to a documentary тιтled Queen Mimi, which was about the unlikely friendship between the movie star and the former vagrant, Mimi first became homeless at the age of 55 after leaving an adulterous husband.

The courageous departure led to a financially unstable existence, which ultimately resulted in her working and sleeping in the laundromat for nearly 18 years.
Without Zach she would still be pulling pennies together for a H๏τ meal as she was, according to her own testimony, the only surviving member of her family.
Speaking in the documentary, she shared: ‘I really appreciate Zach and Renée for [everything they’ve done].
‘I have a place to live now and my own bed. I now get my social security, so it helps me pay [for food] and my phone bill.’
Zach and Mimi formed a strong bond and she often accompanied the Hollywood star to numerous red carpet premieres.
Mimi died in 2021 at the age of 95.
