A Hard Day’s Night, Macca? Paul McCartney, 82, lets out a big yawn while arriving at party in NYC

Paul McCartney seemed to be ready for bed as he arrived at a Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Special afterparty on Sunday evening.

The 82-year-old music icon appeared to let out a gaping yawn as he exited a luxury black SUV to keep the celebration going.

Earlier in the evening the Beatles frontman took the stage to perform a medley of his legendary band’s hits.

McCartney bundled up in a navy blue coat, which he layered over a light blue ʙuттon-up shirt and gray vest as he prepared to party with fellow attendees.

The renowned singer-songwriter rounded out his look with a pair of black, slim-fit trousers and matching shoes.

Paul’s silky, shiny, graying hair was set in a side part with the front slicked behind his ears, and he sported a shadow of a grizzled beard.

McCartney fell victim to a hilarious ‘snub’ at the conclusion of Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary special on Sunday after playing a string of Beatles hits to round off the landmark show.

The beloved musician shocked viewers by performing the Abbey Road Medley of Golden Slumbers, Carry That Weight and The End as fellow celebrities sang along during a star-studded evening.

But his memorable set was not enough to spare him embarrᴀssment at the very end of the show as Canadian comic Martin Short went through a long list of acknowledgements and forgot one bᴀss-playing star.

Paul was left twisting and shouting after he was jokingly looked over in the final monologue, with the great and the good of the entertainment industry piling into the sH๏τ, patting Martin, 74, on the shoulder to remind him he was there.

The SNL veteran then replied, ‘Oh and Paul!’ to the cast’s amusement, before finally thanking the show’s creator and producer Lorne Michaels, 80.

The trio then posed arm-in-arm for the emotional send-off as Paul, wearing a black waistcoat over a white shirt, shook Lorne’s hand.

Viewers were witnessed a memorable performance of the final three tracks of one of the Beatles’ most iconic albums, with Martin introducing McCartney more than 12 years after they shared the SNL stage in December 2012.

Sabrina Carpenter and Paul Simon shared a duet to open the Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Special on Sunday evening in New York City.

The 25-year-old pop star and 83-year-old Simon & Garfunkel icon performed an acoustic rendition of the group’s 1966 tune Homeward Bound.

Other stars present for Sunday’s high-profile SNL extravaganza included Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph and Kristen Wiig.

The SNL50: The Anniversary Special followed the 50th Anniversary Homecoming Concert that took place on Friday and featured musical acts Lady Gaga, Arcade Fire, Bad Bunny and others.

Backstreet Boys, Jack White, Post Malone, Robyn, and Mumford & Sons also took the stage.

The performances were livestreamed on Peacock, with fan screenings taking place at IMAX Theaters at Regal Cinemas around the country.
