Kerry Katona had a secret romance with celebrity chef Jameson Stocks but ‘dumped him the day of The Vivienne’s funeral’, leaving him devastated.

Jameson, 41, told MailOnline that he and reality star Kerry, 44, dated for two months following the breakdown of her engagement to ex-fiancé Ryan Mahoney, whom she was with for six years.

Michelin star chef Jameson has claimed that Kerry confessed her love for him and the couple talked about marriage and their future together.

But Jameson was left stunned after the former Atomic Kitten singer dumped him the day of his close friend’s funeral in January.

In an exclusive interview, the father-of-two alleged that Kerry refused to attend the service held in honour of the RuPaul’s Drag Race winner, who tragically pᴀssed away last month, to avoid being pH๏τographed after the news of her relationship with Jameson was first made public.

She had hoped to keep the couple’s romance under wraps to secure a spot on this year’s Celebs Go Dating, with E4 bosses promising to sign her up for a lucrative fee, according to the chef.

Jameson told MailOnline that he and reality star Kerry dated for two months following the breakdown of her engagement to ex-fiancé Ryan Mahoney 

In 2019, Kerry appeared in the sixth series of E4’s Celebs Go Dating but plans to return to the show this year, with filming beginning in March 

Jameson said: ‘I don’t want to be seen to be a fool.

‘One day she told me she loves me and wants to marry me and she’s telling my children she loves them. She was at my son’s birthday party on January 25.

‘All of a sudden, she dumped me and said bye and that’s wrong.

‘The thing that upsets me the most is that I wear my heart on my sleeve a little bit like Kerry and the day of James’s funeral I went to the Jellycat store to get her daughter some Jellycats because she loves them. I didn’t say to Kerry what I was doing.

‘Within minutes of me coming home a story broke about our romance and Kerry said she could no longer go to James’s funeral because there would be paps.

‘She ended up going back home and she was crying… And that was the last time I saw her and that was that. She messaged me and then blocked me, messaged me then blocked me.’

Jameson, who was previously in a relationship with model Jo Wood, 69, claimed he started dating Kerry after her split from Ryan in November when they connected over Instagram and their romance progressed rapidly.

He says Kerry and her management team played down reports of their relationship to protect her deal with Celebs Go Dating despite Jameson introducing the ex-singer to his family and spending regular time with Kerry’s children.

He said: ‘Me and Kerry have been together since November. She split up from her fiancé and that’s when we got together. It’s not like it was reported, that it was just a weekend thing.

‘The problem was when we first got together, she told me that she was doing Celebs Go Dating and she wanted to keep it quiet because she didn’t want to lose the contract. She’s doing the show this year and is due to start filming in March.

‘She wanted to keep it under wraps, which I agreed with because obviously in the beginning you don’t want the whole world knowing our business. I was always worried about her losing her Celebs Go Dating contract because she needed the money.’

Kerry is a mother to five children and has previously been married on three occasions.

She shares daughters Molly, 23, and Lilly, 22, with Westlife star Brian McFadden and Heidi, 17, and Max, 16, from her marriage to Mark Croft.

She welcomed her youngest daughter 10-year-old Dylan-Jorge with ex-husband George Kay, who died from a cocaine overdose in 2019.

He said: ‘I have spent time at her house with her dogs, with her housekeeper, Dawn.

‘Kerry wanted to get married. She wanted me to sell my house and for us to get a house together, she would send me links on Rightmove.

‘She has come to my work many times and met my staff.

‘I’m not a fragile person by any means but this has affected me. I really liked her, and she is a really lovely person, but she plays the media like a drum. Her management were saying we were just friends but it’s absolute nonsense.

‘I saw one story saying she wants to be single for a year and then the very next day one saying she wants to find love on Celebs Go Dating.’

Jameson said prior to the couple’s sudden split he had purchased First Class flights for Kerry to join him in South Africa, where he is currently preparing to launch a further two restaurants. 

But he is currently in Cape Town alone as Kerry opted to spend Valentine’s Day in Thailand, where she was pictured showing off her gym honed body and recent two stone weight loss.

He added: ‘We stayed at each other’s houses. In fact, Kerry should be here in South Africa with me now, I paid for First Class flights for her to come.’

Jameson says he and Kerry connected over their tough lives, explaining they had overcome similar battles.

The restaurant owner lived on the streets from the age of 13 after leaving his abusive childhood home.

When he was 15, Jameson got a job working for chef Marco Pierre White, where he established himself as a restauranteur, later becoming the youngest recipient of The National Restaurant of The Year.

It was revealed last year that the rights to his life story have been bought by A-list actor Brad Pitt, with future plans of a Hollywood film that will share the journey of his humble beginnings and resilience soon to be in production.
