Wendy Williams made a rare sighting in Miami after traveling from New York to Florida for her father’s 94th birthday, amid her battle to end her guardianship. 

On Saturday, the 60-year-old media personality appeared to be in high spirits as she arrived at the airport and headed out to pay a visit to her dad Thomas Dwayne Williams. 

After landing in the Sunshine State the star flashed a bright smile while scootering through the airport. 

The former television presenter, who is best known for hosting her nationally syndicated talk show The Wendy Williams Show, was joined by aides who ᴀssisted her.

As they made their way through the airport, Williams was seen laughing and chatting with her ᴀssistants and bodyguard. 

This comes shortly after she revealed she has been outside only twice in 30 days amid her guardianship.

During her outing, Williams was seen taking a phone call before getting off the scooter with the help of her bodyguard. 

For her day of travel and rare sighting, the former broadcaster flashed her fishnet-clad legs in a monochromatic black ensemble.

Williams modeled a long-sleeved, ʙuттon-down jumpsuit and completed her look with тιԍнтs and fuzzy boots. 

She styled her long, brown tresses and blunt bangs in a tousled, straight hairdo. 

Williams dolled herself up with dark, black eyeliner and a magenta pink lip. 

For a touch of glamour, she accessorized with an eye-catching, ‘W’ necklace with her initial adorned in diamonds. 

She also stacked several gold bangle bracelets and wore a dazzling diamond ring. 

As she exited the airport and prepared to get into a car, she carried a crocodile-embossed Hermes Birkin bag.

She also had a Louis Vuitton duffle bag and a houndstooth-patterned coat that her bodyguard carried for her.

This comes shortly after Williams revealed she has only been outside of the care facility she has been living in two times in the last 30 days.

Williams was appointed a court-ordered guardian in 2022 after she was allegedly diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and primary progressive aphasia.

Last year, her care team revealed her diagnosis; however, Williams has vehemently disputed that she has dementia. 

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Williams is battling to end her guardianship and has signed an affidavit asking a judge to end the arrangement, according to TMZ. 

Her court-ordered guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, has been in charge of her well-being and finances since 2022. 

Sources told the outlet that she will be reevaluated by a doctor, who was picked by her legal team, next Tuesday to determine if she has ‘regained [the] capacity’ to function without her guardian.

Insiders also told the outlet that her legal team — private counsel she hired to end her guardianship after firing her court-appointed attorney last month — will reportedly file an emergency order to force a judge to look into ending the guardianship.

This comes after she took a phone call in the middle of the airport 

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Williams is battling to end her guardianship and has signed an affidavit asking a judge to end the arrangement

The outlet also reports that Williams’ attorneys have a plan to demand a jury trial to hear her plea in the event the judge turns down the request. 

Recently, the outlet released TMZ Presents: Saving Wendy on Tubi, and in the documentary, Williams compares the New York facility she has been living in to a ‘prison.’ 

She also claimed she has only been allowed outside two times in the past 30 days. 

‘No, no. I am not allowed to go out. I can call you, but you can’t call me. In the last 30 days, I went out twice,’ she said in the documentary.

Since Williams is not allowed to have visitors at the facility, the documentary was filed with a camera on the street, angled up at her fifth floor story window alongside audio from a phone call.

During their conversation, Williams once again denied having dementia and insisted she is not ‘cognitively impaired.’

‘I keep the door closed, I watch TV, listen to the radio and look out the window. Sit here as my life goes by.’
