Davide Sanclimenti made another thinly-veiled dig at his ex Ekin-Su Culculoglu on Valentine’s Day as he shared a loved-up post with his new girlfriend.

The reality star won Love Island with Ekin-Su, both 30, in 2022, but the couple ultimately called time on their relationship in 2023.

Now, Ekin is competing on the All Stars version of the series that made her famous, and is in a new relationship with Curtis Pritchard.

Meanwhile, Davide has revealed he’s found ‘true love’ and is ‘healing’ after going public with his stunning new American girlfriend Iris last month.

He took to Instagram on Saturday to share a Valentine’s Day tribute to his new love and appeared to take a swipe at Ekin-Su as he said ‘true love doesn’t destroy you’. 

Davide wrote: ‘Happy Valentine’s Day to the most romantic woman I’ve ever met. Since being with you, I learned what a ”monthsary” is.

‘You’re the most kind and genuine person. We were supposed to meet as friends, but from that first ”friendly date,” we’ve been inseparable. I loved that you didn’t know who I was. 

‘You love deeply because you’ve been through a lot, and that made me want to protect you.’

He continued: ‘Thank you for believing in me, for bringing out my best, and for being someone who pushes me to grow. 

‘True love is wonderful because it doesn’t destroy you. I know we met for a reason and I’m glad we’re healing each other. We don’t have to be together—we choose each other every day. To us.’

He included a carousel of stunning snaps with his new girlfriend, including a slew of loved-up holiday pictures.

Davide also shared a picture of the crypto investor and mum-influencer with a huge bouquet of flowers, as well as a Valentine’s Day display he created on their bed with rose petals, a teddy bear, and a balloon.

Iris, who had been tagged in the post, wrote in the comments: ‘So this is what you were writing in the balcony, copycat. Keep smiling. When you’re happy. I’m happy. ❤️ ILYSM.’

Davide previously took another swipe at his ex in a recent post, after a fan commented: ‘Bro stay strong when she’s on tv kissing loads of wee boys.’

He replied: ‘I really hope she does [laughing face emoji’s)] At least she will leave me alone and stop talking about me once and for all.’

Last month, Ekin-Su opened up about her relationship with Davide for the first time since entering the Love Island: All Stars villa.

The reality star spoke about her relationship with her ex during a chat with Olivia Hawkins, explaining why she originally chose to pursue a romance with him over love interest Jay Younger in the villa.

Ekin-Su split from Davide in January 2024, nearly two years after they were crowned Love Island champions, and claimed at the time that he was unfaithful.

Olivia had shared concerns over her conflicted feelings for Marcel Somerville, and Luca Bish, leading Ekin-Su to shed some light on her own experience.

‘Is it possible to like two people at the same time?’ Olivia asked.

Ekin-Su then replied: ‘I liked Davide and I also liked Jay when he walked in. But my heart was gravitating towards Davide!’

The actress explored her connection with Jay despite her romance with Davide during her first stint in the villa in 2022, famously crawling on her knees across the terrace to enjoy a secret smooch with him.

Eventually Ekin-Su chose to be with Davide, and Jay was dumped from the island soon after.

During her time on All Stars, Ekin-Su was asked by fellow Islander Gabby Allen how she would feel to see Davide enter the villa.

Ekin-Su simply replied: ‘Nothing,’ before adding that she ‘couldn’t care’ what he is doing after their split in January 2024.

‘That’s the old chapter and I’m here in the new chapter. Things didn’t work and I’m here,’ she said.

Ekin has alleged that infidelity on Davide’s part led to the end of their relationship, and said she regretted signing up for Celebrity Big Brother so soon after they split up.

She told The Sun: ‘I went into the show thinking that I could rebuild myself after everything that happened with Davide, but I came off worse. My guard was up.’

The dancer said: ‘The feelings I have for you are unbelievable. I know I’m going to ask you to be my girlfriend on the outside so I just thought to myself why wait until we leave this place?’

‘I blame myself for making a poor choice in my career. People could see that I wasn’t myself, and I can understand why they thought I was being fake.’

She added: ‘I never wanted to believe the allegations against Davide but people would tell me I was being cheated on all the time.

‘I was so scared of being alone, and I didn’t know who the hell Ekin-Su was meant to be without him.’

While Davide gushed over his new love, Ekin-Su spent Valentine’s Day in the villa, making her relationship with Curtis official.

The dancer sweetly said: ‘The feelings I have for you are unbelievable. I know I’m going to ask you to be my girlfriend on the outside so I just thought to myself why wait until we leave this place? It’s Valentine’s Day.’

He continued: ‘I look at you as my girlfriend. Will you be my girlfriend?,’ to which Ekin-Su answered yes by kissing him.
