Call The Midwife star looks worlds away from her prim and proper BBC role as she transforms for outrageous comedy series

Call The Midwife star Georgie Glen looks worlds away from her prim and proper BBC role in outrageous new comedy series Am I Being Unreasonable?

The 68 year old has played receptionist Miss Higgins in the popular drama since 2018.

But fans can see her in the second episode of the brand new series of Am I Being Unreasonable as Mrs Baggot.

In new snaps of the programme, Georgie looked very casual in a cream jumper with a pearl necklace.

Her short locks were styled into loose waves.

Am I Being Unreasonable first hit our screens in 2022.

Meanwhile the second series kicked off earlier this month.

The synopsis reads: ‘Kicked out of the family home for brotherly love – loving the wrong brother – Nic is reduced to sharing a caravan with her not so trustworthy best friend Jen.

‘Nic’s husband Dan has taken up roller-blading to channel his mid-life crisis.

‘Shunned at the school gates and cast as the witch at the school re-enactment, Nic is experiencing hallucinations.

‘Or is someone playing tricks on her?’

The show stars the likes of Daisy May Cooper, Selin Hizli, Lenny Rush, Jessica Hynes, Dustin Demri-Burns and David Fynn.

Speaking about season two of Am I Being Unreasonable on This Morning last year, Daisy said: ‘It’s taken this long, nearly three years.

‘We had to go through every single scenario with every character, anything you could ever think of, we’ve thought of it and it’s been on a post it note in my bedroom.

‘After many breakdowns and watching MAFS UK to distract ourselves, we finally came up with the second series.’

Asking where the next series picks up from, Daisy explained: ‘We pick up half an hour where series one left off, it’s a bit mad because since then I’ve lost about five pounds and I’ve had my lips done.

‘So just go with it, just go with it. It’s funny, there’s a flash back where I have no lips and suddenly I look like Donald Duck.’

Meanwhile Call The Midwife has been on our screens since 2012.

The show has aired 121 episodes over 14 successful series.

But those two shows aren’t the only programmes that Georgie has starred in.

The actress has landed roles in various films and TV shows over the years.

Georgie has starred in the likes of The Bill, Holby City, Little Britain, Doc Martin, Waterloo Road, Midsomer Murders and The Larkins.

Some films include Blue Juice, Lucky Break, Easy Virtue, Hysteria and Les Misérables.

Call The Midwife and Am I Being Unreasonable? are both available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
