A Netflix rom-com that has been slammed by viewers as ‘the worst movie they’ve ever seen’ and even dubbed more painful than childbirth has skyrocketed up the charts against all odds.
Kinda Pregnant was released on the streaming service earlier this month – and it has certainly had mixed reviews.
Although there have been some negative opinions shared on the new film, Kinda Pregnant managed to place first on the Netflix chart over the past seven days.
In fact, the movie has racked up 25,100,000 views on Netflix in just seven days.
The film follows the life of teacher Lainy (Amy Schumer), who pretends to be expecting her first child while everyone around her is falling pregnant.
Kinda Pregnant’s synopsis reads: ‘When Lainy’s plan to settle down and start a family falls apart, she puts on a fake baby bump, tells a lie – and accidentally falls for her dream guy.’

One said on the site: ‘Netflix keeps wasting money on these terrible movies.’
Another sensationally claimed that it was ‘worse than childbirth’.
A third chimed in: ‘Awful. I lasted fifteen minutes. Well, seen it’s produced by and showing on Netflix.’
While a fourth wrote: ‘Absolute train-wreck. I have never been keen on Netflix originals, but I still expected to have a dumb-fun time with this one. No, this was NOT dumb-fun, it was mostly just dumb-boring. Amy Schumer can not tell a funny joke to save a life. The frequent unfunny jokes make for a cringey and slow experience, having me pause the film, smash six eggs over my head and then continue. Sorry, this is ‘DO-NOT WATCH’ for me.’
However, many have loved it.
One typed out: ‘Loved it. Laughed out loud!!!’
Another said: ‘I loved this movie! It’s definitely worth watching it, it’s funny and it has great actors for the genre.’
