The Apprentice fans are all saying the same thing as Nadia Suliaman makes ‘insulting’ offer while the teams wreak havoc in the scavenger hunt task

The Apprentice fans struggled to hide their bewilderment during Thursday’s show, as the two teams tackled the annual scavenger hunt task.

The teams were tasked with trying to source nine items at the best price in the town of Stratford-upon-Avon and the surrounding countryside of Warwickshire.

He explained that those that spent the least amount of money for the correct amount of items would be crowned winners.

The teams had to find a pocket watch, a whole fleece, rhubarb, Ophelia, concave shoes, a coal hod, a boat hook, sweet avalanche and a Peacock quill.

It was the challenge of buying a fleece that sparked one of the oddest moments of the episode, as Nadia Suliaman attempted to bargain down the price of the item.

Having been told that such a piece would typically be sold for £20, Nadia quickly counter-offered with a price of £1.50.

It was an offer that left many fans floored, with one saying the seller should be ‘insulted,’ while another noted that the candidates thought they were shopping in a ‘rural Poundland.’

Posts on X included: ‘Absolutely love the shopping task, yet most of the negotiations seem crazy, did she really think she was gonna get the whole fleece for £1.50 that’s absolutely baaa baarick

‘£1.50!!! Insulting; £1.50 I’m embarrᴀssed she said that;

‘£1.50 does she think she is shopping in a rural country Poundland;

‘Still can’t get over that £1.50 audacity.’

Later in the episode, Carlo Brancati was the third contestant to be voted off the show after battling it out with Liam Snellin and Max England, after his team lost out in the scavenger hunt.

Dean was voted for project manager, while Max was put forward as the other team leader at the start of the task.

Dean decided to put Mia as sub team leader, while Liam was put in charge on the other team.

Things didn’t get off to a good start for Dean’s team as they headed to a jewelers that was asking for over £1,000 for a pocket watch.

Meanwhile tensions started to rise between Mia and Melica when she ʙuттed in to sale while they tried to get their hands on the sheep fleece.

And things got very awkward between Carlo and Max when they started arguing about their £12.50 deal for concave shoes.

They clashed again after Carlo went against what project manager Max said while getting their hands on a Peacock quill.

At the end of the episode, it was revealed that Dean’s team got seven correct items for £360.40.

But they were fined £160, so that gave them a grand total spend of £535.15.

Max’s team got eight items for £621.20, but imposed fines of £377.94, making a total £639.14 – meaning that they lost the task.

After heading to Bridge Cafe to argue about who was to blame about the failure of the task, Max brought back Carlo and Liam.

‘Max you were the PM, it’s whether your responsible for the failure of the task due to lack of planning, this was a planning task.

Max said: ‘I don’t by any means think that I am solely responsible for the failure of this task.

‘I think the contrary to that. You said yourself that the failure to this, a lot was down to the fines, two of the three fines sat with the sub team.’

Lord Sugar then went on to tell Carlo how he was not the most popular person amongst his peers.

Carlo replied: ‘I understand your concern. I feel in some ways I’m being suppressed.  I think people know that I may be a threat… I can have a mᴀssive impact on this process.’

Unfortunately he decided to give Carlo the boot.

Lord Sugar said: ‘Liam, whilst you were responsible for half of the fines, you tried to be an entrepreneur and tried to come up with an idea about the boat hook, so you are remaining in the process.’

He continued: ‘Carlo, you’re a disruptor, as far as I’m concerned.

‘When I’ve been getting a few messages from people, about you, it’s difficult to ignore…I’m really torn.’

‘This is difficult for me and I just have to go from a gut feeling about how far you [Carlo] can get in this process.  My gut feeling tells me that, Carlo, you’re fired.’

However Lord Sugar made it clear Max has to pull out all the stops next time as it was nearly him who was sent home.

Lord Sugar said: ‘One thing for sure Max, your scape goat has gone now.  I’ve got my eyes on you Max, I’m not convinced. I’m not absolutely convinced. But both of you can go back to the house.’

Carlo said in the taxi: ‘I believe there’s no mistakes in life, there’s only lessons learned. I’m going to take those lessons I have learned and push forward. This is not the last you’re going to see of Carlo Brancati.’

The Apprentice airs Thursdays on BBC One and is available to stream on iPlayer.
