The Chase fans ‘worked out’ a sneaky trick that rumbled the result of Tuesday’s episode before it had even finished.
Contestants Charlotte, Nick, Ted and Emily took to the studio to try and beat Jenny Ryan, AKA The Vixen.
Ted was caught very early on in the instalment, which left Nick and Emily battling it out for the prize fund.
This already left viewers very skeptical that the remaining two players were going to do well.
However, many rushed to X, formerly known as Twitter, to point out another clue that they weren’t going to get their hands on any money – the fact that Jenny was chatting a lot during each question.
One questioned on the social media platform: ‘There’s a lot of waffle in this episode, does that mean the final chase is going to be over very quickly?’

Another pointed out: ‘The way in which *everyone* is talking the hind legs off a donkey here suggests a target of about three in the Final Chase and a lot of time to have to fill.’
A third added: ‘#TheChase please, please, please someone stop the vixen talking. I spend so much of my time muting her. She just seems to think we want to hear how clever she thinks she is. Doesn’t she notice that the other chasers don’t do this.’
One question included: ‘Which of these acts had he most UK hits?’
They had to pick from Little Eva, Little Richard and Little Mix
Jenny said: ‘They’ve all hit the UK charts.
‘Little Eva was the big hit low commotion, back in the early 60s.
‘I could only name that one by Little Eva. I could name you a dozen Little Mix songs…’
Unfortunately their prediction was correct.
As well as Ted getting caught out, Charlotte was also booted off the show after getting caught by The Vixen.
So Nick and Emily ended up being the last players standing as part of Monday’s episode.
The pair really did try their best to try and beat The Vixen, but they failed, after only getting 13 questions right.
Last month other fans raged ‘get your act together ITV’ after a major scheduling blunder.
On Wednesday 29 January those watching the show thought that it was going to be a brand new episode.
The Chase airs on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
