Samantha Mumba took aim at the ‘rude and vile’ Late Late Show Eurosong panel in a scathing social media rant on Sunday.
The singer, 42, – who is from Dublin – performed her single My Way on the show on Friday night which was to determine who would represent Ireland at Eurovision this year.
And while she scored high in the jury votes, Samantha was not selected to represent the country in Switzerland this May leaving her furious.
Norwegian singer EMMY was instead selected to represent Ireland with her song Laika Party after coming up against Samantha, Bobbi Arlo, Reylta, ADGY and NIYL.
After the night she soon took to Instagram to reflect on what happened – starting off positive and sharing snaps from the night.
She penned in the caption: ‘I meant to post this yesterday but I was wrecked. Thank you so so much for all the incredible messages and love!! I’ve tried to respond to them all.

‘I am beyond proud of myself and the team for all the work and dedication we all put into this performance. I honestly wouldn’t change a thing. Truly. Those that got it, GOT IT… and those that didn’t, that’s ok too. It’s my art and I stand by it.
But she brutally added: ‘Special mention to the ‘panel’ (aside from Bambie who I stan) who not only didn’t have the credentials, experience or professionalism required and were unnecessarily rude and vile to all the finalists – my parting gift them is a bag of (aubergine emoji) to slowly choke on.
‘(Would have said this in person but they all left the green room before I had the opportunity to) unsurprisingly.
‘Lastly – huge thank you to @latelaterte who has the absolute best crew and team. It was a joy to see and work with you all again!!
‘Most importantly the very best of luck to the sweetest @emmykgk00 please fly the flag and make us proud in Switzerland!!❤️.’
EMMY’s act received 34 points, while Mumba’s song came in second with 26.
The panel consisted of celebrity chef and former Eurosong contestant Donal Skehan, Dancing with the Stars judge Arthur Gourounlian, broadcaster Laura Fox and singer Bambie Thug.

A spokesperson for RTÉ said in a statement to the Irish Independent of her post: ‘We are extremely grateful to the Late Late Show Eurosong panel for their professionalism, insight, integrity and good humour.
‘Their role is to give their honest reaction to the performances on the night, offering their thoughts on the likely success of the song and act at the Eurovision Song Contest.

‘Our panel did this in a thoughtful and considered way. It seems this was in line with the public vote that ultimately made the decision on the artist and song they wished to represent Ireland at this year’s contest. It’s never easy to offer a personal opinion, as not everyone will agree.
‘Our panel did that with the utmost care and we wish to extend our thanks to them for the excellent job they did on Friday night.’
Samantha became a household name after her debut single Gotta Tell You was a smash hit in the UK and reached number four on the Billboard H๏τ 100 in America.
However, after securing six top ten singles, but no number ones, she was dropped from her label and ventured into acting.
In 2007, the singer attempted a comeback concert in her home city of Dublin, but with low ticket sales the gig was cancelled.
She said at the time: ‘I am disappointed that the Dublin concert has been cancelled but excited about the showcase in London and hoping that when my new album comes out I will be able to perform it live in Dublin, as it has always been my dream to bring my show to my home town.’
