When the Kansas City Chiefs failed to become the first NFL team in history to win three straight Super Bowls, talk of a Taylor Swift ‘jinx’ started to surface once more.

The 35-year-old singer’s relationship with Chiefs тιԍнт end Travis Kelce has put a unique spin on the game, with the star often spotted in the suites cheering her man.

The songstress and the football star have been dating since September 2023, and Swift was in the suites and later on the field with Kelce when the Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII in February 2024.

However, others have claimed that President Donald Trump had jinxed the Chiefs, after predicting they would win during a Fox News pre-game interview.

Dionne Warwick even chimed in with the jinx talk with a cryptic tweet on Sunday towards the end of the Super Bowl which the Philadelphia Eagles handily defeating the Chiefs… though she wouldn’t say who she thought jinxed the team.

‘It’s almost as if the entire team has been jinxed. I wonder what happened…’ Warwick said on Sunday night.

The tweet garnered a whopping 36K likes and nearly 3K retweets just hours after sending it. 

She then shared a GIF of Jordan Peele calmly sipping coffee from the Key & Peele show, though she didn’t specifically mention Swift.

One fan – @RGDSpeaks shared a spit-take GIF, adding, ‘Auntie, you being petty,’ though Warwick responded with a Maya Rudolph GIF that was captioned, ‘To what end?’

@spacecowgrll added, ‘I hexed their a**es Dionne,’ with the singer responding with several eye emojis.

Others suggested that it wasn’t Taylor Swift that was responsible for the jinx, but instead it was President Donald Trump.

Not only was Trump present for the Super Bowl, but he predicted on Fox News’ pre-game interview that the Chiefs would win.

Despite the Kansas City Chiefs’ success, before and after Swift’s romantic involvement with Kelce, fans have still insisted she was a jinx on the team.

However, former Chiefs running back Christian Okoye dismissed the jinx talk last year in an interview with TMZ Sports.

‘Taylor Swift is not on the field. Travis playing like he always plays and teams are just doubling up on him knowing that our receivers are dropping the balls. So when you double up on him and (Mahomes) can’t get the ball to him, it’s a problem,’ Okoye said.

‘The NFL loves it. Everybody loves it. I love it. Taylor Swift’s fans love it. Chiefs fans love it,” Okoye said. “She has nothing to do with how the team’s doing right now,’ he added.

It’s possible that Warwick was referring to Trump, since she recently told the President to ‘get a grip’ during a recent interview.

Warwick asked the President to think about his actions, adding, ‘Is it going to be good for only you? Or are  you thinking about me too?’

Trump was in attendance at the Super Bowl, becoming the first active sitting President to attend the big game.

He also met with the participants of the game’s opening coin toss before the action got under way.
