Gerard Butler was snapped cheering on Scotland against Ireland at Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on Sunday.

The Hollywood legend, 55, enjoyed the Guinness Men’s Six Nations game in his  home country on Sunday – although Ireland won following a 32-18 victory.

The 300 actor showed off a happy smile, grinning from ear to ear as he was captured in the stands.

He bundled up against the chilly Scottish weather as he opted for a black thick turtleneck jumper and dark coat.

Law Abiding Citizen sensation Gerard looked in very jovial spirits at the sports event, despite the final score.

It comes after Gerard’s latest project Den of Thieves 2: Pantera stole the crown from last week’s winner to land at the top of the box office.

The thriller, starring the Scottish actor as an LA police officer in Europe trying to track down O’Shea Jackson Jr’s would-be crook who is planning a big diamond heist, debuted with a solid $15.5 million in ticket sales at the US weekend box office, according to Box Office Mojo, in spite of poor reviews from critics.

Audiences gave the action-adventure a solid 78-percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a B+ on CinemaScore, in spite of the lackluster reaction from critics.

‘These movies are made for audiences, not critics,’ David A. Gross from Franchise Entertainment Research told Variety.

‘Gerard Butler is an established action star, and this kind of good-guys-versus-bad-guys material plays well around the world. Foreign business should be solid.’

The box office take has not yet opened in the international market, and the initial domestic opening did not cover the movie’s $40 million budget.

Mufasa: The Lion King dropped down to second place after four weeks in theaters.

The computer generated tale which is a prequel to The Lion King pulled in $13.2 million over the weekend.

The family friendly film has been a big hit for Disney, earning some $188.7 million domestically and another $350.9 million internationally for a global take of $539.67 million.
