Angela Rippon has revealed one member of the Royal Family is a huge fan of Strictly Come Dancing and might have even voted for her on the show.
Veteran journalist Angela, 80, stole the nation’s hearts after appearing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2023 alongside Kai Widdrington.
And she certainly impressed Queen Camilla, who Angela revealed had a very gushing compliment to give her about her time on the show.
Opening up during a candid chat with The Sun, the broadcaster said: ‘The Queen said we were cool.’
When asked if she knew if the Queen consort voted for them, she replied: ‘I don’t know,’ before flashing a cheeky twinkle.
Angela placed seventh on Strictly and was eliminated during Blackpool week but has remained firm friends with her professional dance partner Kai, 29.

The friends currently live five minutes from one another, speak most days and are now joining forces on a new venture called Let’s Dance!.
The pair will open doors for the biggest nationwide dance event ever with plenty of dance studios gearing up across the country.
Starting on March 2, the duo will offer taster classes ranging from ballroom to ballet to hip-hop and breakdance.
In a successful move, Angela even managed to sign up Health Secretary Wes Streeting to take part in a Let’s Dance! session on March 3.
‘Just watch babies from the time they can walk — play music and they automatically move to it,’ the former Strictly contestant said.
‘Even if you are in your sixties, seventies or eighties, you can still dance — you can dance from a chair.
‘This all started because I had so much feedback from people after I did Strictly and they were inspired by what I did on the show.

‘I started ballet when I was five and danced until I was 17.
‘Revisiting my roots in dance years later when I took part in Strictly, I felt the enormous benefits myself. And it sparked my mission.’
Reflecting on her favourite moments from Strictly’s Blackpool Special last year, the journalist added: ‘The thrill for me was walking out onto that iconic floor as a dancer and not a television presenter.
‘Experiencing the sheer joy of being in that space, on that amazing floor, that every compeтιтor – amateur and professional – feels whenever they are there.’
