Kevin Costner was joined by three of his children at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Friday, for the premiere of his Western movie, Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2.

The Yellowstone star, 70, proudly posed with his daughter Grace, 14, and sons Hayes, 15, and Cayden, 17, a week after his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner’s, 50, engagement to his former friend Josh Connor was revealed.

Costner, who reportedly felt ‘sucker-punched’ by the news, appeared in good spirits as he promoted his film, which was previously pulled from movie theaters after the first installment flopped.

The actor looked dapper in a three-piece dark suit and sported a white ʙuттon-up shirt underneath. 

The doting dad proudly posed with the trio, whom he shares with Baumgartner.

Meanwhile Christine was pictured picking up coffee in Santa Barbara on Friday, as she shared a glimpse at her new engagement ring.

It comes a week after his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner’s, 50, engagement to his former friend Josh Connor was revealed; She is seen on Friday in Santa Barbara

Aside from the three kids he has with Baumgartner, the Oscar-winner also shares three adult children — Annie, 40, Lily, 38, and Joe, 37 — with ex-wife Cindy Silva, and son Liam, 28, with former partner Bridget Rooney.

Kevin’s youngest son Hayes looked dapper next to him in a black ʙuттon-up shirt and pants, which he paired with white sneakers.

His older son Cayden sported a long-sleeve grey top, black jeans and white sneakers.

Meanwhile Grace looked chic in a floral dress and beige sandals.

While at the festival, Costner was pictured catching up with director Quentin Tarantino. 

Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2 is the second part of a Western film series directed by and starring Costner. 

In July 2024 the film was pulled from movie theaters – despite the actor pouring $38million of his own money into the flop $100million project.

Horizon Chapter 1 was released in the United States on June 28, 2024, while Chapter 2 was due for theatrical release on August 16, 2024 – but the first installment has been slammed by critics and failed to ignite at the box office – after Costner’s high-profile Yellowstone exit.

Costner’s Territory Pictures and distribution partner New Line Cinema decided to release Chapter 1 on Premium VOD on July 16 alongside theatrical screenings – while Chapter 2’s release has been indefinitely delayed.

A New Line spokesman told THR: ‘Territory Pictures and New Line Cinema have decided not to release Horizon: Chapter 2 on August 16 in order to give audiences a greater opportunity to discover the first installment of Horizon over the coming weeks, including on PVOD and MAX.’

Costner previously told Empire he has taken a gamble by releasing the saga in cinemas.

He said: ‘I had somebody who said, ‘Look, please don’t do this, Kevin, let’s do this.’

‘But I’m glad about what I’m doing. I believe in the big screen. I believe in that experience. I also believe in what will come to your television. You know, I’m not one of those guys that has a director’s cut. The f****** movie I make is the director’s cut.’

The Dances with Wolves star – who is worth an estimated $250million – said: ‘I’m not a fool, but I’m not afraid.’

‘I will own this movie the rest of my life. So will my family. And movies are a lot more than their opening weekend. They have value throughout their life, and I will own this movie throughout my life.’

‘And people will find it. And when they do, whether it’s opening weekend or not, they’re going to find a quality. They’re going to find a story that they’re going to want to revisit or share with someone. And that’s the power of a movie to me.’

‘My hope is that I get this money back, but you know what, I’m not going to fall apart if it (doesn’t happen).

Chapter 3 of the film saga started shooting in May 2024. Chapter 4 is in development.

Costner reportedly felt ‘sucker-punched’ after learning of her engagement to the man he had considered a friend, DailyMail.com has learned.

Handsome financier Connor, 49, popped the question during an intimate dinner in January, less than one year after Baumgartner and Costner’s messy divorce was finalized.

And while friends of the couple were reportedly not surprised by the proposal, the news came as a shocking ‘betrayal’ to Costner who only found out from his children, insiders revealed.

‘Kevin said he felt sucker-punched when his kids told him about the marriage proposal,’ a close source told DailyMail.com exclusively.

‘He said he would have preferred to have heard it straight from Christine, but either way, it still feels like betrayal even after all this time.’

‘He just celebrated his birthday, thank God they waited at least a week to make the announcement,’ the friend added.

‘Kevin will do what he always does and that’s focus on his kids and his work,’ the source added.

‘As far as dating, Kevin said it’s just not a priority right now. He said he’s not opposed to it and if it happens it happens.’

Costner and Baumgartner split in May 2023 following a 19-year marriage and three children – with Baumgartner sparking up a romance with Connor that year.

The couple got engaged on January 26 during an intimate dinner in Santa Barbara, according to People.

The couple’s loved ones were ‘not surprised’ by the proposal, with the source adding: ‘They spent Christmas together last month, where it all began. They are both over the moon and excited for their future together.’

The proposal comes 11 months after Costner and Baumgartner settled their acrimonious divorce battle following much legal wrangling over child and spousal support.

Costner and Baumgartner both sought joint custody of their three children and Baumgartner is receiving $63,209 a month in child support from her ex, a much lower amount than the $165,000 she had requested.

In an emotional court hearing in August, Christine had argued that their children had grown accustomed to a life of luxury, claiming that their ‘affluent lifestyle’ was ‘in their DNA.’

Baumgartner previously wanted to overturn her prenuptial agreement so she could receive alimony.

Under the prenup she is enтιтled to a lump sum of $1.5million and a year’s worth of mortgage payments on a new home worth up to $1million.

However the judge rejected these protests and enforced the prenup.

Baumgartner filed for divorce from Costner in May 2023 citing irreconcilable differences.

However, it has since been reported that Costner had suspected that ‘something was going on between Christine and Josh.’
