Lizzie Cundy has revealed the very unique way she caught an ex partner cheating before moving on with a new mystery man. 

The TV star, 56, was married to former Chelsea player Jason Cundy, 55, from 1994, admitted she set a trap to catch her love rival red handed.

Speaking on the Best magazine podcast, she said: ”What I’d do is some of my really nice creams and perfume, making sure I knew how the lid was on’.

‘I knew that girl would want to use some, or touch the perfume and I’d make sure if she was at his place that she opened the cupboard she’d know there was a girl thee.

Before adding: ‘Or I’d leave a bra under the pillow, little naughty traps, which sounds silly because I should have just walked away.’ 

Lizzie and Jason, who share sons Josh, 29, and James, 25, split when he met Opera singer Hannah Pedley, who he would later to go on to marry.

Moving on to her new mystery man, Lizzie insisted that nothing was particularly ‘serious’ between them but was enjoying the ride. 

She teased: ‘I’m almost dating. Can I say seeing someone? Stepping out. I’ve been out in public with him but I haven’t worn a disguise. 

‘I have been out in public with him. He’s very sweet and lovely but he lives overseas.’

Lizzie stepped out with a very handsome hunk for a swanky dinner date at Gaia Restaurant in Mayfair last year. 

The pair were also seen out together before when they attended an exhibition called Revelations: A Portrait Of Magic at S&P Gallery in London back in 2022. 

All that’s known about the mystery man is that he’s an American restaurant director who flew in from Miami. 

A source told MailOnline last tear: ‘He couldn’t keep his eyes off her. They are very much a couple and they go together perfectly.’    

Elsewhere in the Interview recalled life as a WAG and how ‘difficult’ it is to be in a relationship with a footballer and living life in the spotlight.

After enduring a bitter divorce with the former the pair are now firm friends and have worked through their differences (Jason and new wife Hannah pictured)

‘It’s difficult, going out with a footballer is very, very difficult.  You have to remember, they have 70,000 fans screaming their name every weekend.

‘Everything is done for them, huge amounts of money. It’s tricky. And you think it’s gonna be a bed of roses, and girls go ‘Oh my goodness…’

She went on: ‘I loved the lifestyle, but it’s difficult and you’ve got to have eyes in the back of your head.’

Lizzie even revealed that she would enlist the help of another WAG if she was at a game and needed to go to the toilet.

She said: ‘I’d have another footballer’s wife watch my seat, because I knew there would be another girl in it by the time I got back!’.

Following Jason’s infidelity, an emotional Lizzie told OK!: ‘I’ve never been on my own and it’s very frightening. I feel so betrayed. I’ve had panic attacks and I feel like my right arm has been cut off.

‘I’m so shocked at how hideous he is being. I don’t know him any more and I’ve been married to him for so long. That’s the thing that hurts the most.’

Speaking at the time of the King’s Coronation she told MailOnline: ‘So many are shocked that Queen Camilla Is inviting her first husband Andrew Parker Bowles to the coronation of King Charles.

‘Well I salute her for it! It shows what a great and healthy relationship with her family she has and, on this huge historic day, she wants to share it with her ex.

‘Many might not understand this and though I’m never likely to have a coronation, I would definitely invite my ex-husband to my wedding if I were to marry again.

‘People might think that is strange after we had such a bitter split and divorce but we have learnt it’s much better to be friends than enemies, especially as we share two lovely children together.

‘For me, it was 17 years of good marriage, which is a success to me.

‘I think Camilla is incredible that she has kept friends with her ex-husband and they still have chats and cups of tea and great laughs together, despite what’s gone on in the past.

‘Like myself, Camilla has two wonderful children and there is nothing better than seeing the parents get on.
