Taylor Swift is ‘not angry’ at boyfriend Travis Kelce for describing it as an ‘honor’ to have Donald Trump at Sunday’s Super Bowl, according to sources who say there has been ‘no blowout’ between the couple over the Kansas City Chief star’s comments.

Swift and Trump’s animosity towards each other is well known, with the 78-year-old president even going as far as to publicly declare that he ‘hates’ the singer.

His shocking remark came after the hitmaker publicly endorsed Kamala Harris  during the 2024 presidential election, when she stated that ‘we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos’.

Die-hard fans, known as the Swifties, were left unimpressed by Kelce’s comments, with many flocking to social media to express their disappointment and annoyance that he would speak positively about someone who had disrespected his partner.

Though fans have been left furious, sources have revealed that Swift took no issue with her boyfriend’s comments.

During a press conference, Kelce welcomed Trump to the game by saying: ‘It’s awesome. It’s a great honor, I think, no matter who the President is ‘

During a press conference ahead of the Super Bowl, Kelce was asked for his thoughts about the president’s decision to attend the game in New Orleans.

‘It’s awesome. It’s a great honor, I think, no matter who the president is,’ the celebrated тιԍнт end responded. ‘I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life and having the president there — it’s the best country in the world — and that’s pretty cool.’

The insider continued: ‘He never actually even said the word Trump. Travis was speaking on behalf of his entire team and all of his fans when he said it is an honor to have the President of the United States at the game and he would have said the same thing regardless of who the president was.’

The source added: ‘So no, there is no fight, no argument and no blowout over this. Taylor is just so proud of Travis and cannot wait to be there to support him. 

‘Cheering him on has become so exciting for her. Taylor is Travis’ biggest cheerleader.’

Though Swift hasn’t taken offense, her fans were quick to voice their disappointment that Kelce didn’t say something that showed more support for his girlfriend.

Elsewhere, TikTok users shared similar sentiments, as one wrote: ‘Yeah, honestly, I like him less now I get it. He’s trying to be diplomatic, but no that’s not it.’

However, a second insider shed light on the reason behind Kelce’s answer as they revealed: ‘Travis answered the way he did because some of his teammates and friends support Trump, and even though he has attacked Taylor in the past, he doesn’t want to get embroiled in a controversy that she gets sucked into, which would have happened if he’d said something derogatory.’
