George Clooney looks suave in a grey wool coat and green turtleneck as he attends press conference for Good Night, and Good Luck on Broadway

George Clooney looked incredibly dapper as he attended a press conference at Winter Garden Theatre in New York City on Thursday, where director David Cromer announced the complete broadway cast of Good Night, and Good Luck.

The American actor, 63, who will play journalist Edward R. Murrow in the adaptation of his 2005 film Good Night, and Good Luck, wore a sharp grey wool coat paired with a green turtleneck jumper.

He appeared in high spirits as he joined his long-time friend Grant Heslov, 61, and several cast members.

During the press conference, George spoke enthusiastically about the new play, saying: ‘We’re very excited to be doing this play. We’re excited to be here.’

‘I want to introduce a couple of people here who are responsible for the play being here in general.’

‘First is my partner for 40 years, Grant Heslov – Grant, come up here and say hi.’ (Grant says Hi) George joked: ‘That’s it, that’s all you get to say, Grant.’

He continued: ‘The fun part about this is we get to do a play about a subject matter that’s very close to our hearts, which is about everything that you guys all do – telling the truth and holding truth to power.’

‘So it’s a play we’re very excited to do. It’s not a civics lesson, it’s entertainment, and we’re very excited to start. We’ve already started rehearsals, and I’m older by 40 years than everybody else in the play.’

George then introduced director David, 60, who announced the full cast and crew.

Based on the 2005 movie about pioneering TV journalist Edward R. Murrow set during the McCarthy Era, George will portray Murrow.
