Ben Affleck puffed on a cigarette as he drove to his Los Angeles office on Thursday while cruising in a new Cadillac Escalade. 

The Good Will Hunting actor, 52 – who recently replaced his longtime pal Matt Damon in the upcoming Netflix thriller Animals – was also accompanied by his new German Shepherd during the daytime outing. 

The star donned a pair of tan-colored trousers as well as a matching blazer and white sneakers. 

After parking his vehicle, Affleck was seen strolling towards the entrance to the office building with his security dog next to him. 

Ben first debuted the new pet earlier this month with his son Samuel, 12, and the pair were also joined by trainers from Trident Elite Protection Dogs. 

And over the past weekend, the father son duo were spotted spending quality time together in his upscale Brentwood neighborhood – with the German Shepherd also tagging along.

Ben’s latest outing comes after it was revealed that he replaced close pal Matt Damon in the upcoming thriller for Netflix тιтled Animals, ᴅᴇᴀᴅline reported this week.

Matt seemingly stepped down from the leading role in the new project due to scheduling conflicts. 

The actor has additionally taken on a role in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie The Odyssey – which also features a star-studded cast. 

Affleck was also set to direct the thriller, with the script being written by both Connor McIntyre and Billy Ray. 

Ben and Matt will also produce the Netflix project – after recently collaborating on projects such as Air. 

The plot details for the thriller have mostly remained under wraps, but X-Files alum Gillian Anderson has also been cast.  

The pair are also slated to appear in front of the camera together for another Netflix film called RIP – which will drop on the streaming site later this summer. 

Along with having a number of projects under his belt, Affleck also recently appeared in a new Dunkin Donuts ad with Jeremy Strong and brother Casey Affleck.

The short clip was shown during the 67th Annual Grammy Awards over the past weekend on Sunday ahead of the 2025 Super Bowl. 

The commercial begins with Ben and Casey arriving to Strong’s backstage door shortly before shooting the Dunkin Donuts ad.

The brothers were decked out in orange tracksuits but before opening the door, Casey reminded Ben that Jeremy is a method actor and needs time to prepare for his role in the ad. 

‘He’s preparing. He’s doing his research,’ Casey explained, with the Gone Girl actor replying with, ‘I never did no research on nothing. Look where I’m at.’ 

His brother simply responded with, ‘Exactly.’ But Ben yelled out, ‘We’re big time now!’ 

After a few more moments of going back and forth, Ben threw open Jeremy’s door – only to find the Succession star completely submerged in Dunkin Donuts coffee beans.   

‘I’m just trying to find the character,’ he explained to both Ben and Casey. ‘I think I found a way in.’ 

‘You’re from Boston. I’m from Boston. Dunkin is Boston. Boston is Paul Revere. One if by land, two if by sea. The Redcoats are coming.’

Ben replied, ‘You’re an artist and I know what that’s like, but how long is it going to take for the bean method?’ 

Strong answered, ‘I mean I’ll be ready in like three hours.’ 

Casey then quietly whispered to Ben, ‘You should have paid for Matt,’ referencing to Damon. Ben replied: ‘I told you that.’ 

The advert came to an end with the date of the Super Bowl appearing on the screen which will air on Sunday, February 9 as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles. 

Ben’s ex, Jennifer Lopez, notably made an appearance at the Grammys over the weekend – two years after the former couple’s viral moment at the ceremony. 

Last year in August, the On The Floor songstress filed for divorce from the actor on their second wedding anniversary.

The star has pushed aside her split from Affleck, with a source recently telling Page Six: ‘There’s a lot of positivity for the year ahead. It’s a big year for her.’

She recently took on a role in her latest project Kiss of the Spider Woman – which was produced by both Ben and Matt Damon. 

The film recently premiered at the Eccles Center Theater in Park City, Utah – and upon taking to the stage, the actress received a standing ovation from the crowd. 

However, Affleck did not make an appearance at the screening which took place late last month in January.
