Comedy fans can’t contain their excitement as beloved show, Dave Gorman Modern Life is Goodish, is set to return later this month.
It was announced last year that the British comedy television series would be making an exciting comeback to screens after being off air for seven years.
Now, on February 24, the comedy show starring Dave Gorman, 53, will be returning to the UK TV channel U&Dave for a series of three hour-long specials – and fans couldn’t be more thrilled.
Taking to Reddit, one fan wrote: ‘Absolutely loved MLIG and I’ve watched every episode multiple times.’
‘Cannot express how deliriously overjoyed I am about this news.’
Another viewer hailed it as ‘Dave’s best original show’ while a third fan wrote on IMDb: ‘Dave Gorman: Modern Life Is Goodish is a show that points out the faults in modern life’s society and makes quite valid, obscure statements,’

At its peak, the original show, which ran for five series on Dave, pulled in 1.5 million viewers per episode.
The network has promised the comedian’s ‘unique style combining stand-up, visual storytelling, and real-world experimentation.’
He will reportedly look to scrutinise ‘the absurdities and contradictions that continue to fascinate and infuriate him’, ranging from fake search engines to big tech’s rules.
Other topics being challenged include a reinvention of the alphabet, AT, honesty in television, the idea of celebrity, battling an online nemesis, leaving London and ‘ᴀssistance from an entertainment legend’.
Discussing his return to the show, host Dave said in a statement: ‘I’m delighted to be getting back in the Goodish saddle.
‘It’s been 7 years since I hung up my Modern Life Is Goodish clicker and in that time, life has definitely got seven years moderner – so there should be plenty to get my teeth into.’
The comedy television series ran for five series between 2013 and 2017.

The series mainly consisted of Dave presenting comedic Powerpoint presentations, in which he attempts to argue that modern life is neither bad nor good, but ‘goodish’.
After successfully running for five series, Dave announced on December 18 2017 that the show would conclude after the final episode of series five aired the following evening.
And in July 2024, it was announced that four brand new hour-long specials had been ordered by UKTV for their rebranded Dave channel.
Dave Gorman: Modern Life is Goodish is set to air over on U&Dave on February 24.
