Catherine Tyldesley looked nothing short of sensational on Monday as she showcased her figure while on a lavish gifted spa break with husband Tom Pitfield. 

The former Coronation Street actress, 41, slipped into a plunging dark green swimsuit as she posed up a storm during a trip to the Manor House H๏τel and Spa, in Alsager, East Cheshire, which was provided by a PR.

Catherine’s complimentary getaway comes over a year after she as embroiled in a ‘cake-gate’ scandal in which a bakery refused to provide free food for her party in exchange for publicity.  

The stunner looked on fine form as she sat on her knees while gazing at the camera in one snap, before looking off into the distance while reclining on a lounger in another. 

The soap star’s flattering swimwear featured a brown trim, with Catherine accessorising her look with chunky black sunglᴀsses. 

Catherine’s post also featured a shirtless snap of her pH๏τographer husband Tom taking a refreshing dip in an outdoor plunge bath.

While she also gave a glimpse of the sumptuous food she enjoyed during the trip, which she described as ‘insane’. 

Captioning her post, Catherine penned: ‘We have been counting down the days to our spa break… @spaatthemanorhouse you did not disappoint!! Fully switched off and recharged! Treatments were beautiful (huge fan of @templespa products) and the food was quite frankly INSANE.

‘@tompitfieldpH๏τography had to roll me out of that restaurant. Thankyou for being such wonderful hosts. We are so very grateful! What a wonderful place!’

Confirming that she had been gifted the stay, she added the hashtags #prstay #spabreak’.

Catherine sizzling snaps comes 17 months after Catherine reportedly cancelled her 40th birthday party after being ‘blindsided’ by online backlash surrounding a fierce row over free cake.

The former Coronation Street star had hired party planners NVRLND to manage the do, but they caused controversy by asking an independent bakery to make a large birthday cake, a smaller birthday cake for Tyldesley’s husband plus 100 cupcakes for free.

The company told Rebecca Severs of Three Little Birds Bakery that payment for the order would be ‘in the form of promotion’, but she hit back at the PR and declined the offer, saying her staff ‘can’t feed their kids with exposure on Instagram.’

The bash, scheduled for September 1 2023, was since cancelled after a furious backlash against Catherine for the request, the Mirror reported at the time.

A source close to the actress said: ‘Cath was blindsided by Cakegate and found the whole thing very upsetting so she’s decided on a quieter celebration. 

‘She doesn’t blame NVRLND, but the whole situation left a sour taste so she felt it best to call it off.’

NVRLND did not tell Ms Severs whose birthday celebration the request was for, simply saying it was a ‘well-known celebrity’.

Ms Severs shared her response to the PR, who asked for the cakes at the height of the cost of living crisis, in which she said: ‘I’m so sorry to hear that your client has fallen on such hard times they can’t afford to pay small businesses their products.

‘Unfortunately as my mortgage provider doesn’t take payment “in the form of promotion on their socials”, and my staff can’t feed their kids with exposure on Instagram, I’ll have to decline your very generous offer.’

She received a flood of support from the public online, and later joked her bakery provides ‘delicious cakes and a generous side of sarcasm when necessary.’

During her final months on Corrie, viewers saw Eva devastated when her ex-flame Aidan Connor tragically died by suicide, weeks after giving birth to their daughter.

Planning to join her mother Stella in France, Eva originally planned a start a new life with her partner Adam, but at the last moment, he opted to stay in Weatherfield.

Since leaving Corrie, Catherine has gone onto star in Strictly Come Dancing, and land roles in Channel 5 series The Good Ship Murder and ITV thriller Viewpoint.
