James Argent has claimed his house is haunted by the ghost of a notorious criminal from the 1730s.

The TOWIE star revealed he has heard spooky noises in his EsSєx abode and called on ghost hunters to find any pesky spirits.

James, 37, is set to feature on an episode of Discovery+’s Celebrity Help! My House Is Haunted on February 13.

He said: ‘I’ve heard someone climbing or crawling up the house and coming through the windows, but when I’ve gone to check, there’s nothing.’

The unusual happenings have left the reality star, who lives in his house alone, unsettled.

James added: ‘I feel there’s someone behind me watching me through the window.’

English highwayman Dick Turpin and his gang used Epping Forest, near James’ home, as a hideaway during the 1730s.

A medium, Ian Lawman, from the paranormal activity show, determined he could hear horses and multiple men.

Ian added: ‘You can certainly feel the energy surrounding this house, so these gang members are connected to this land. It’s almost like it’s unfinished business.’

Experts on the programme determined that gang member John Wheeler may be hiding inside James’ house after he informed police of the others in an attempt to save himself. 

It comes after a previous episode saw a ghosthunter break down when he picked up Princess Diana’s spirit at the home of her former butler, Paul Burrell.

Ian Lawman, an ‘ordained exorcist’ and medium, visited Paul’s Cheshire home in the first episode of the new series of Celebrity Help! My House Is Haunted.

He was moved to tears when he realised whose home he was in after noticing a pH๏τo of Paul and his husband Graham on the table.

Overwhelmed with emotion, Ian, who revealed he ‘used to read for Princess Diana’, suggests her spirit is visiting Paul’s house.

Through tears, he said: ‘She is in this house, she is here. She is here! She’s trying to get a message to Paul!’
