Dancing On Ice star Chelsee Healey has heartbreakingly revealed she suffered a miscarriage during her time on the ITV show.

The 36-year-old Hollyoaks actress was the first celebrity to be eliminated from the programme last week after being voted off in a skate-off against Comedian Josh Jones.

After her time on the compeтιтion came to an end, Chelsee made the brave decision to share what she was going through on Instagram, in a lengthy post on Thursday.

Alongside a picture with her daughters Cookie and Coco, the soap star admitted she hasn’t been able to speak about the devastating loss until now, because it’s been ‘too painful’.

Chelsee wrote: ‘I want to start by saying thank you to everyone of you for your support during DOI and especially my family, To ITV and my skate partner Andy.

‘I haven’t been able to talk about this until now, because it’s been too painful. I hope by sharing it now it can help other women going through something similar. Been so anxious to post.’

She recalled: ‘Whilst committed to DOI and the busy training schedule, to our shock we discovered that I was pregnant. 

‘Within weeks of finding out this news, before me and my family could allow this news to sink in and digest it, I suffered a miscarriage. 

‘Understandably this really did devastate me and hit me deeply, finding out this news and then having it taken in such a short proof of time is an awful lot to deal with.’

The star bravely continued: ‘I know I am beyond blessed to have two beautiful daughters but the grief still feels enormous. 

‘I am grieving for the little soul i carried momentarily who I’ll never get to meet, the sibling that my girls will never get to have. The child that will forever leave my heart curious with the ‘what ifs’. And it is painful.

‘I thought I could just carry on but anyone who knows me, knew I wasn’t right. Some feelings you can park, put in a box and move on. This hurts differently and I can’t just move on, not yet anyway. 

‘I think that my little baby deserves to be honoured by me allowing myself to feel all the emotions, all the sadness for what will not be. There is no shame in that.’

She ended the post with: ‘For any woman going through something similar. I am truly sorry for your loss and I hope you are allowed to express and feel your emotions. I hope you find your way through this. Our heavenly children deserve a place in our hearts.

‘A gentle reminder that we never know what someone else is going through or how their pain maybe hurting them. To all of you, I am sending my love.’

Friends and family rushed to the comments section to offer their support for the star during the difficult time.

Chelsee’s Dancing On Ice co-star Ferne McCann wrote: ‘You’re a formidable force. And it was a pleasure working alongside you when you was going through all of this darling. Your girlies are lucky to have such a strong mamma.’

Radio host Gemma Atkinson added: ‘No shame at all. Sending lots of love to you all,’ meanwhile Charlotte Dawson wrote: ‘Love you soooo much’.

Helen Flanagan commented: ‘So sorry Chelsee sending you so much love x.’

And fellow Hollyoaks star Jessica Fox wrote: ‘I’m so sorry, sending you and your family lots of love.’

It comes just after Chelsee revealed she had her C-section three weeks before her due date after suffering with ‘dark thoughts’ during her second pregnancy.

The Hollyoaks star welcomed daughter Cookie last December but struggled severely with her mental health before and after.

Chelsee – who also has daughter Coco, seven – revealed she had post-partum depression too.

It comes just after Chelsee revealed she had her C-section three weeks before her due date after suffering with ‘dark thoughts’ during her second pregnancy 

The Hollyoaks star welcomed daughter Cookie last December but struggled severely with her mental health before and after

She told The Sun: ‘I have suffered with my mental health for a long time and it hit its peak while I was pregnant.

‘There were times when I would have dark thoughts then blame myself, because I would think, ‘How can I be like this when I am pregnant and have a young girl who needs her mum?’.

‘They had to put me into my C-section early because of my mental health. Cookie was due on January 14 and they put me in for my C-section on December 22. They knew I was really struggling.’

She shares Cookie with her partner Eddie who she chooses to keep private.

Chelsee saw a therapist during her tough pregnancy and continues to do so as Cookie turns one in order to get to the bottom of her mental health struggles, as well as taking medication.

Chelsee and her skating partner Andy Buchanan were the first to be eliminated from the show last week after a brutal rule change –  there was no skate off for the first elimination.

The brunette beauty was at the bottom of the leaderboard when she performed last weekend with 22 points.

She put on a dazzling performance as she and partner Andy skated to Beyoncé’s Crazy In Love.

Fans were furious with the result though, with one tweeting ‘I knew it, poor Chelsee. She ABSOLUTELY didn’t deserve to go first.’

Reacting to her exit, Chelsee held back tears and said: ‘It’s fine’.
