A Place In The Sun viewers called out the latest pair of house hunters for a huge blunder on Wednesday’s episode. 

A slower pace of life attracted Nikki and Gordon to find a holiday home in Gozo with a hefty £350,000 budget. 

Host Ben Hillman showed the couple around several properties, including a two-bedroom apartment with a balcony for £359,649 and a two-bedroom penthouse apartment for £368,421. 

However, neither Nikki or Gordon had even stepped foot on the Mediterranean island, despite wanting to live there.

On the Channel 4 show, Ben said: ‘They’ve chosen Gozo as their ideal location, despite the fact that they’ve never been before.’

Some viewers took to social media and posted their opinion on the blunder, with one writing on X: ‘”Maybe we’ll become permanent residents”… bold statement when they’ve never even visited the place before. FFS #aplaceinthesun.’

Someone else posted: ‘Never been here before klaxon. Again. Happening all too regularly. Are #aplaceinthesun on the beg for potential buyers to feature…?’

While a third said: ‘Never been before klaxon … oh FFS #aplaceinthesun.’ 

Viewers were also shocked by the prices of the properties being shown to the couple and the type of holiday home their budget could buy in the area. 

One wrote on X: ‘B***** h*** I thought they’d get a mansion not an apartment for that money. #aplaceinthesun.’

Another said: ‘With their budget I’d want a b***** swimming pool not a property that looks like a block of flats! #aplaceinthesun.’

Someone else penned: ‘£360,000 doesn’t get you much in Gozo does it #aplaceinthesun.’

While a fourth wrote: ‘#aplaceinthesun £400k for an APARTMENT Gozo. I’d want half the island for that.’

After viewing several apartments, Nikki and Gordon decided against making any offers and did not find a holiday home on the episode. 

It comes after earlier this month, A Place In The Sun host Jean Johansson met with John and Maxine from Durham who were on the hunt for a property in Cyprus with a budget of £150,000.

But she was unable to find the pair a holiday home after a series of unsuccessful viewings and a rejected offer. 

First up was an apartment that was £10,000 below budget, but Maxine was left disappointed at the awful view. 

After seeing a visible air conditioning unit and water tank from the balcony, Maxine said: ‘It’s not good, is it? It is a deal breaker for me.’

Next they went to look at a ‘bargain’ townhouse priced at £120,000 and a third that was listed slightly over budget at £157,000. 

The fourth property was another ‘deal breaker’ for Maxine who didn’t even stay to look at all the rooms, while a fifth priced at £172,000 was also not right.

After some consideration Maxine and `john decided to put an offer in for the third property.

They offered £140,000 for the £157,000 townhouse, which was rejected.

The seller then offered them a counteroffer of £155,000, but the couple came back with £144,000, which ended up being declined.
