The Chase fans were left unimpressed after a player’s controversial advice to her fellow teammates.
On last night’s episode of the popular ITV game show, hosted by Bradley Walsh, 64, four players attempted to win some cash.
After forensic collision investigator Nathan, 44, earned £5,000 in the cash builder round and played for the same amount, he was caught out by Chaser Mark Labbett, known as The Beast.
Product designer Olivia, 32, went next and played it safe when going against The Beast, opting for a lower £1,000 offer, saying: ‘I think I’ve bottled it a little bit since Nathan, so I’m going to be a coward and go for the one I reckon.’
Mark responded: ‘In this situation it’s eminently sensible.’
The product designer managed to beat The Beast with ease and secured the £1,000, as well as a place in the final.

When teacher Michaela, pictured, was offered the choice between £1,000, £4,000 and £60,000, Olivia said: ‘Go big.’
However, Olivia came under fire when she encouraged her fellow teammates, Michaela, 52, and Martyn, 27, to go for higher offers.
When teacher Michaela was offered the choice between £1,000, £4,000 and £60,000, Olivia said: ‘Go big.’
To which Mark quipped: ‘How can you say that?!’
She said the same again when Martyn had to choose between £1,000, £7,000 and £85,000 and said: ‘Go 85!’
Her advice and play saw backlash from some viewers on social media, who took to X to express their opinions.
One fan posted on X: ‘Have some shame Olivia #TheChase.’
Another said: ‘Should be a rule that if you go for the low offer, you’re out of giving your opinion on what someone else should go for. #TheChase.’
Someone else commented: ‘Olivia tells Michaela to “go big” for 60K, after she went low for a grand. P3 and P4 should’ve gone high anyway, and leave her on her own with her grand, then get annihilated by the Beast. #TheChase.’

Olivia, Michaela and Martyn went on to successfully bag £12,000 to split between them.
It comes after The Chase fans begged ‘please stop’ as they dubbed a contestant’s habit ‘one of the most annoying things ever seen on the show’ during an episode last week.
ITV contestant Samir, from Surrey, joined host Bradley Walsh in the studio as he and three other teammates attempted to take on the Chaser.
When Samir was called away from his fellow compeтιтors – Jill from Abergele in Denbighshire, Godfrey from London, and Lilli from Cardiff – he faced Anne Hegerty in his head-to-head after winning a respectable £5,000.
The Governess asked her first opponent what he would like to do with his potential winnings, to which he cheekily responded that he wanted to take Maya Jama out on a date.
He said: ‘I should invest it, which is a little bit boring. but I’d really like to take Maya Jama out for dinner.’

And while his battle against the Chaser was a success, his chances of securing a date may not be as triumphant as viewers spotted an ‘annoying habit’.
Flocking to social media, ITV fans penned: ‘Can’t cope with all his long explanations #thechase.’
‘Are the explanations necessary? Please stop! #TheChase.’
