Adult animated superhero series Invincible hit our screens back in 2021 on Amazon’s Prime Video.

The second series was dropped at the end of 2023 and wrapped up in March last year.

Fans don’t have long to wait after the trailer for the third instalment was released last month, confirming the upcoming release date of February 6 for new episodes.

Invincible follows the story of a teenager called Mark Grayson, who is the son of the most powerful superhero in the world.

As the programme unfolds, Mark soon realises that his dad isn’t who he thinks he is.

The popular series stars a number of very famous faces.

The Walking ᴅᴇᴀᴅ star Steven Yeun, 41,  takes on the voice of main character Mark.

Meanwhile Greys Anatomy and Killing Eve favourite Sandra Oh, 53, is the voice of Mark’s mum Debbie.

Spiderman legend J.K Simmons, 70, is Mark’s dad.

In series three, they will be joined by the likes of Gillian Jacobs, Walton Goggins, Seth Rogan, Mark Hamill and Peter Cullen.

Executive producer Robert Kirkman teased what fans can expect – and it sounds like it’s not one to miss.

He told Variety: ‘Going into the third season, it seemed like a good time to bring a new Mark to the forefront after everything he’s been through in season 2.

‘He’s in a different headspace and that gets reflected in his costume

‘Anyone who has read the comic book series knows the blue suit era of Invincible is the darkest and the most intense, and there’s a lot of really big things that are around the blue suit.’

And the producer has also confirmed another series.

He added: ‘I feel like we’re just getting started. I’m very hopeful that this show can be around for awhile.

‘With season 4, we’re really hitting our stride.

‘There’s really exciting stuff coming up in season 4.’

Watch series three of Invincible on Prime Video from February 6.
