Bonnie Tyler, 73, leaves Richard Madeley, 68, red-faced as she flirts with flustered presenter on GMB

Bonnie Tyler left Richard Madeley red-faced on Wednesday as she flirted with the host live on Good Morning Britain.

The legendary singer, 73, was on the show to promote her new single, Yes I Can, when talked to her personal life.

Bonnie has been married to former Olympic Judo compeтιтor Robert Sullivan, 80, for 51 years and Richard was keen to know the ‘secret’ to their happy union.

The Holding Out for a Hero hitmaker explained that she and Robert enjoy travelling the world together, which led Richard to state so ‘more time together, not less time together?’

Bonnie agreed, before cheekily adding: ‘And he’s not bad to look at – like you!’

Richard, 68, looked flustered and immediately tried to shut down the conversation, exclaiming: ‘Let’s not go there! No, no move on!’ while his co-host Susanna Reid laughed: ‘He’s blushing!’

As Richard – who has been married to Judy Finnigan for 38 years – continued: ‘I’m just going to let this moment pᴀss’, Susanna wouldn’t let the comment go.

She asked Bonnie: ‘Will your husband mind that you’ve just told Richard Madeley how handsome he is?’ to which Bonnie ᴀssured: ‘No! He’s not the jealous type.’

Laughing, Richard responded: ‘Thank God, because if he’s a black belt I’m in trouble!’

Bonnie met her husband when she was working as a club singer in Swansea because he was a club manager at the time.

Speaking to The Times this month she opened up about their marriage, sharing: ‘I think the secret to our success is that we met before I was famous.

‘We don’t have children because we left it too late to stop taking precautions, and then I had a miscarriage when I was 40.

‘I was unlucky but I love all my nieces and nephews. Our house in Mumbles is like Paddington station because everyone wants to come and visit Auntie Gaynor.’

During a recent chat with The Mirror, Bonnie discussed her miscarriage, admitting that while it was naturally a tough time for the couple, they are not the ‘type to dwell on things’ and she was back to work the week after.

Bonnie revealed the secret to her long marriage was spending plenty of time together, before turning to Richard and cheekily adding: 'And he's not bad to look at - like you!'

She told the publication: ‘I did have a miscarriage when I was 39. At that point, it just felt like the right time to have a baby.

‘For the first time, I felt maternal and we stopped all precautions, and it happened straight away. But then I lost the baby, and it didn’t happen after that.

‘It’s weird, but I count myself blessed to have known that I could be pregnant, that I have been pregnant.

‘Robert and I were so sad when it happened, but I’m not the type to dwell on things. The following weekend I was in Paris for a TV show, then I just moved on.’

Born Gaynor Sullivan in Neath, south Wales, in 1951, Bonnie released Total Eclipse Of The Heart on her fifth studio album, Faster Than The Speed Of The Night, in 1983.

After being discovered while she was singing in a Swansea club aged 17, Bonnie went on to sign with the same record label as Elvis Presley.

The Welsh vocalist, known for her distinctively husky voice, also found major success with Footloose hit Holding Out For A Hero and It’s A Heartache.

She also represented the UK at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, finishing in 19th place overall, after performing the track Believe In Me.

Despite turning 72 last June, Bonnie is still active and touring, with her European tour – beginning in Finland on Tuesday April 9 – in support of her third live album In Berlin, which will be released on April 19.
