David’s up to no good, Abi’s on the attack and there’s a secret arsonist on the cobbles that leaves Max and Toyah gravely injured next week on Coronation Street.

1. David’s risky business
David plots with his old prison friend Andy
Desperate for cash, David is plotting with his old prison pal Andy.
Sarah is organising a birthday party, but David lies that he’s got to see a client and heads off on his dodgy business instead.
2. Abi on the attack
Abi confronts Toyah about the Platts’ house
Abi is shocked to work out that it was Toyah who reported her to social services for leaving Alfie alone in her car.
Finding Toyah at the empty Platt house, Abi confronts her, but disaster strikes when Toyah knocks over a bottle of wine and Abi is reminded of Seb covered in blood.
Abi starts to panic and Toyah tries to help her, but a confused Abi lashes out and strikes her.
3. Fire! Fire!
Number 8 goes up in flames
When a figure approaches the Platts house No.8 and pushes a lighted rag through the letterbox, fire soon takes hold.
Sally smells the burning, and alerts the Platts at the Bistro who are horrified at the sight of their house in flames.
4. Nick to the rescue
Nick finds Toyah unconscious while the fire it still going
Worried that Lily may be inside, Max, Shona and Nick head into the inferno.
Fighting the flames, Nick finds Toyah unconscious on the floor and tries to get her to safety.
Meanwhile, Shona and Max check upstairs.
5. Explosive drama for Shona and David
There is a huge explosion on the street
Out on the Street, Shona is relieved to discover that Lily is safe but worries that Max is trapped in the burning building.
As David arrives, Shona tells him Max is still inside and the pair rush towards the house, only for an explosion to blow them off their feet.
6. Boozed-up Leanne looks on
A boozy Leanne is shocked when she realises that there has been a fire
Having spent the afternoon boozing, a drunk Leanne arrives on the scene.
Worried when she realises that Toyah is involved, Leanne tries to check on her sister, but Nick sends her packing after realising that Leanne is drunk.
7. David’s fears for Max
David is left worrying when he realises that Max could be in the house
As the emergency services arrive, they attend to Toyah, who has suffered smoke inhalation and has a head wound.
The firefighters find Max unresponsive in the house.
As Max is carried out, David can only look on in horror.
Max is lifted into an ambulance and David climbs in with him, terrified for his son’s life.
8. David’s guilt overwhelms him
David has to tell Shona that he had nothing to do with the fire
At the hospital, a suspicious Shona quizzes David about the fire, but he promises that he had nothing to do with it.
Kit arrives and confirms that the fire was arson, and David is quick to tell him that Logan Radcliffe is clearly the culprit.
Later, David breaks down and tells Shona that this is all his fault as he stole Harvey’s money.
9. A missing person’s alert
Debbie and Kevin start to worry when they realise that they don’t know where Abi is
Debbie and Kevin worry when they can’t locate Abi.
Meanwhile, Abi collects some things from the house then slips out of the back as Kev and Debbie return.
Kev is later concerned to learn that Abi seemed on edge when she collected Alfie earlier.
Where has she gone?
10. Leanne’s discovery sparks a clue
Leanne starts to worry about Toyah
Leanne arrives at the hospital hoping for news on Toyah.
Nick accuses her of starting the fire, but Leanne ᴀssures him that she had nothing to do with it.
However, as Leanne looks for her purse in her coat pocket, she pulls out a box of matches.
Is Leanne responsible for the fire?
11. David caught out
Sarah and Nick confront David about meeting up with his old pal
Andy arrives in the Street looking for David, and Sarah soon learns that the ex-con was in prison for insurance fraud.
Sarah and Nick confront David, accusing him of using Andy’s knowledge of insurance scams and setting the fire himself.
Will David admit the truth?
12. Rob’s medical drama
Carla goes to visit Rob in prison
Carla visits Rob in prison to tell him that he is set to be tested.
If he’s a match, they can get the transplant underway.
However, Rob is annoyed to discover that he’ll be tested in prison, having ᴀssumed he would have to go to hospital.
Has this news scuppered his plans?
